How do you setup a forum like defense.pk?

I am in the process of making a forum, Reviews Pakistan (r.evie.ws), which will serve as a platform to discuss, rate, review and critique Pakistani products and personalities.

Defense.pk ranks high among the top forums from Pakistan. My question is, how do you get this far? I know it requires a lot of time, and money. But what are the ingredients to setting up a successful community like Defense.pk? I mean with regards to getting users to post and share? I'd love an answer from someone who has been with the site since its early days.

Takes quite some money :p

Its not an easy to bring it lots of people.
And since this is a defence forum, the traffic here is natural.

Reviews however... you would have to generate traffic mostly by yourself.

"Controversy creats cash" His Holiness Vincent Kennedy Mcmahon . In your case it will generate traffic. Serious posts and trolling a healthy dose of both is needed to make a forum popular. Good luck
