How do Chinese feel about India--Latest survey in 2012

Infact, China and Chinese felt well with India during the past 5000 years, even 1962, we are still happy with India as our neighbor

Actualiy China was never a neighbour of India until PRC annexed Tibet....not to mention Himalays is a formiddable obstacle.

In my post graduation @ Manchester, i had a lovely neighbor from China. She's planning to come to India for a trip, will stay at my home. Funny how some people here over-talk Indo-China war, China and India will never go to war, take my word.

Chinese people and Chinese Govt are entirely 2 different entities.

Thanks that you have posted the links. I was reading the coments of chinese people written in chinese. They are very hateful towards India while writting comments.

example : 我们才不要这种小偷朋友 . Here in bold Thief word is used for India. "We do not want this thief friend"
关键是看印度的态度了,取决于印度的态度。印度这个国家虽然面积很大,但是他们心胸狭窄!!here bold part is for Indians descrbed as narrow minded :

In India also most of the common people do not think China as enemy but Pakistan.

Westerner's interest = Hates between China/India

Edit: Heck, not only China/India, but the whole Asia.

Both pakistanis picked my post unlike indian or chinese

it proves enough ...chor ki daadi mein tinka
great, are you proud? you said,"few other asian;)countries believe in indo china war". India and China aren't the only Asian countries, what does it proves? chor ki "daadi" mein tinka :rofl::rofl: you mean daari?

Can anybody tell me as to why did Indian defence ministers openly named China as India's number one enemy. And this did not happen after 1962, it has happened within last ten years. Such major policies only change if there has been a drastic change in relationship - such drastic change in the relationship between China and India has not been witnessed in recent times. Infact, even as we speak, India has been arming itself to teeth against the Chinese.

Yet the Indians here say, we are China's friends and we have no animosity and India is raising additional forces against the Chinese because the Chinese have done the same.

This dichotomy is unfathomable.

The answer is simple. In order justify defence expenditures. And we need to arm ourselves in order to have a strong force projection capability. But I feel we are not even spending high. Compared to China that has twice the numbers and spends 4 times as much as we do. Compared to China India gets masked under its shadow, in military and economic strength. So we need to spend more and more and justify it. To maintain the status quo. Oh and btw the modernization is also because India's weapons were getting outdated. Thats why the recent surge in spending.

In reality however, trade has been expanding between in China and India in recent times. And relations have been getting better. Proof of that? Not a single shot has been fired across the border since 1967. 45 years! Enough said.

To whom does your government has to justify the increase of defence expenditure.

And what do you mean by having a force projection capability

Both India & China r infested by western Idea of Democracy & Communism ... Both should Go back to old heritage of Dharmic Values inculcate it from our Hindu & Buddhist past...

The time when we both countries where the movers of World Economy & Birthplace of world civilization...

To the international community..Or else we will be under criticism by many which may reconsider many nations from selling top of the line arms to india..The reality is that Indians and Chinese know that possibility of a war between two nations.
That is why our forces are primarily centred against pakistan, even though china is militarily much stronger than pakistan-
India's Force Deployment

Indian Army

Against Pakistan - 10 Corps

Against China - 3 Corps

Indian Air Force

Against Pakistan - 29 Air Bases

Against China - 6 Air Bases

Indian Navy

Against Pakistan - 10 Naval Bases/Ports

Eastern Naval Command - 3 Naval Bases

You can calculate the percentages yourself.

Not a single shot was fired from chinese border in last 45 years..On the other hand we had 3 civilians killed in pakistani fiing just a day ago..Thats why many indians want india-china relations to improve..
