How come India has muslims? After the partition why did many stay behind? Why were they not kicked out? Mind you, I am not advocating that they leave or anything along that line.

Not all people are built the same way. Not all people have the same strength in their faith.

India is a Secular Country . Those Muslims who were crying rivers as long as Amazon and as wide as Nile for a Separate country have been given a Separate Country . Believers of that ideology went there . For us , we have no State religion and there never will be one . Those who did not believe in 2 state ideology stayed here .

Muslims have shared this land for centuries. The actions / thoughts of some who sought a separate land for themselves because they felt victimized were not shared by all. They chose to remain in the land of their ancestors. How difficult is it comprehend ?

This is the same reason why Hindus & Sikhs stayed back in what now is Pakistan.

There are different reasons for it.

Some just didn't leave because of nostalgia. Some had financial and monetary problems. Some just didn't want to go (various reasons). Some just didn't think that it was the right thing to do since they believed in the Congress POV. Some were just living too far to migrate (people had to bear great burdens for the travel)

You can't just generalize it and put them all in the same bracket.

My grandparents migrated from Rajouri, while some people they knew stayed back.

At some trollers here, answer his question straightforward, if you can't, then keep shut.

1. 0nly 15% of Muslims left India for Pakistan.
2. Most of Muslims in North wanted Partition and they were of the view that area where they lived would go to pakistan.
3. Hindus unlike their Muslim counterparts of Pakistan were not as cruel and neither Indian muslims were as rich as the Hindus of Lahore and Karachi who practically owned and built the these cities. So there are hardly any incentive for Hindu poor to loot these Indian muslims.
4. Gandhi ji roamed all around india from calculatta to Bihar pleading Hindus to give up arms and spare Mulsims. Nothing of this sort ever happend in Pakistan.

The miss the bus to Pakistan..
There are some horrific truth (One can validate this truth from british archive)

1. Indian Muslim participate Indian freedom struggle in 1857.
2. After 1857 they were lured by English and the drama started.
3. In 1930s Jinna proposed Pakistan.
3. In 1945 election (Need info) Almost all Muslims Voted (adults with voting right) for Jinna
4. So in 1945 all Muslims were in favor of Seperate Pakistan.
5. Punjab and Bengal which give maximum Revolutionary has most of Muslim, But there was not a single Muslim Revolutionary from these state.
6. Some Muslims with Gandhijee (2-5%), those persuaded Gandhy to allow Muslim to stay in India.

Muslims cheated us, They took Land from us and they stayed here in India. Our 30% land was taken by muslims. If Islam and Hindusim can't stay togather (2 nation theory) then why Muslims stayed here (even they voted for Jinna's dream in 1945)??
