How can Afghan refugees be repatriated?

can we stop afghan bashing please, they are not refugees, most afghans in pakistan are pushtoons and therefore they are most welcomed.

We the pakistani pushtoons share ancestral, cultural and historical heritage with afghan pushtoons more then any pakistani.

it pains us to hear such comments from respected forum members who should realise they are what they are because of afghan bravery and conquests.

I don't mean any Afghan bashing. but they are economic and security threat. We dont have any misplaced loyalties. We just want them to go to their homes. Good fences make good neighbors.

Few facts need to be addressed. Two heavily bribed institution of govt of Pakistan, first passport office and national id office employees played vital role in making these illegal afghan refugees legit. Few years back same game played in Karachi when thousands of id cards issued to illegal Bangalies .

If govt decides to expel them it wont be a problem to identify them. Even Pashtuns of Afghanistan can be very easily identified. Police knows everyone.

dunno about bengalis but i am sure afghanis might have gotten their ids through bribes... mind you they are very rich people and some of the richest people in N.W.F.P are afghanis... the tales of their wealth is just shocking...! thou i really feel bad for my bengali brothers,.... i have read few articles about them... i dunno why isnt our media taking this issue as an issue.. its like area 51 for us pakistanis,... we cant speak up for them

Fencing doesn't mean you would not be able to go to your relative on the other side. But their should be a proper way for that. Maybe those with relatives on the other side are given special documents and they follow proper routes. For few thousand ppl we should not risk 170 million. National interest comes first. Pakistan is a country and their should be rules for cross border movement.

as per "The Patriot " if we start thinking in this way we will let Indians come in to our country because the scenarios are same we share everything with them too.

The answer would definitly be Punjabi if we don't ask you.

Punjabis share indian heritage while pushtoons and balochs share afghan/iranian heritage so links are always going to be stronger in that sense.

Pl read some history. Punjabis are Aryans. So central Asian and so are Pashtuns. We share the same culture with Punjabis. In fact we (Punjabis and Pashtuns) are sub-cultures of the same culture. And now being living side by side and together for centuries and after independence our sub cultures have got much closer.

As far as tajiks are concerned well i have no probs with them, they helped conquer india with ghaznavi and ghuri, so they did alot more then u can offer which is their life.

Pointless argument. But lets say you have a point. Then if it were not for Arabs Afghans would have been Budhist or something else. Its a chain. It is Allah who gives the light of Islam to people he likes. Shall we house them just for theory that they had converted our ancestors. We should be proud of Muslim rulers be that Afghan or some else.

Last thing. If it were not for Pakistan Afghans would have been communist or Christian by now.

P.S. Afghan refugees are not only in NWFP/FATA, they are in Islamabad, Lahore, and Karachi causing ethnic tensions and terrorism.

I mean like send them to Indian Occupied Kashmir and let them fight Indian soldiers or do the same thing Indians are doing in NWFP/FATA and train Afghan refugees to fight all over India.
