India has still not caught up in life expectancy with China of 1970's in the Mao era.

Forget China - Indian average life expectancy at birth is below that of even Bangladesh (72.3 years avg.). As is under five infant mortality and many other HDI markers.

Many of the Hindutva trolls here are experts at smoke-and-mirrors tricks, there are massive inequalities and dissonance as far as education and health in India. Result of centuries of mismanagement and apathy which continues to this day.
