Holbrooke to meet JI leaders

US Consulate in Islamabad has contacted leadership of Jamaat-e-Islami and expressed desire of meeting between US Special Envoy for Pakistan and Richard Holbrook and Party Ameer Syed Munawar Hussain.
It may be recalled here JI has announced to hold protest outside the US consulate on Monday against arrival of US marine, expansion of US consulate in Islamabad and interference of US in countrys internal matters.
The leaders of JI during national assembly session on Saturday also protested against expansion of US consulate and arrival of US marines in Federal Capital.
The meeting would be held in two days, Private TV Channel reported. The leadership of JI has made it clear on US authorities that they would not halt their protest outside the Consulate on Monday.
During the meeting, JI Ameer Syed Munawar Hussain would present a memorandum to Richard Holbrooke, demanding US to end its interference in countrys internal matter and halting drone strikes in countrys tribal areas, sources said.
The leadership of JI has also constituted a high level consultation committee in this respect and the committee comprised on Party Secretary General Liaquat Baloch and JI Naib Ameer Dr. Kamal.
