I watched hobbit 2 last night and I have to say, I was very impressed.
Now granted that it was not as action filled as Lord of the rings, but it was amazing nonetheless.
Those of you whom watched it, what did you think?

All these Hobbits/Bobbits/Narnias/HarryPotter/Lard-on-the-wings movies - one thing in common is that the special effects / picturisation et al are almost similar.

What set apart epics like AVATAR - people were enthralled ! With the list of above mentioned movies - esp HP/LOTR, you get tired of seeing the similar cinematics/picturisations again n again. Something different would certainly help.

actually,there are several kind of orcs.these orcs came from Mount Gundabad.they're known to be large and more powerful.so are there wargs too....

as for Hobbit-2,there are several changes which have been made from the original story.I'm not disappointed though.The Hobbit,for reading,is good.but to make it a successful movie,a lot of changes had to made.they did the right thing.but then again,I'd love to see few reference of old battles and few mystical characters(like Witch King of Angmar).the part of King of Angmar's tomb was not properly described.nor any previous descriptions have been made.it'd be interesting for viewers about knowing previous history of him(though even Tolkien never revealed much about him).also,I disliked the way they changed the death of Thror.also,they discredited Dain Ironfoot and robbed him from the glory of of killing Azog(they made Azog main antagonist here).but overall,the story got played very well.they brought some new characters,which are quite interesting.but I hate how they changed that only 10 of the total company went against the Dragon and left 3 of his own.

actually,you can't compare both Hobbit and LOTR.Hobbit is more like Adventure than Battles and all.if someday they make a massive movie on "Silmarlion"(which must have to be properly described and with all the battle scenes),you'd love that more.moreover,LOTR was a massive book,while The Hobbit was a small one.

I don't like going to cinemas. I have a nice entertainment system at home that I can watch movies on while scratching my balls and smoking a cigarette. I prefer that.

It was good movie. Loved the action scenes, Dragon, river and sauron scenes.
