HIV is under control. By official stats India has 2 million patients. South Africa has 20% of population as HIV infected. they are not falling apart. FYI I have walked through HIV patient ward in the late 1990s. it was frightening and depressing.

HIV is not AIDS. They are two completely different by interlinked things.

HIV virus if left unchecked and untreated it can become AIDS which is the last stage and person cannot recover.

With modern medication HIV can be managed and people in western world have near normal live expectancy with HIV infections where as with AIDS it could be as little as 1 to 2 years but about 8-10 years otherwise.

HIV meds are expensive, south africa might control it but if 18% of it spreads in india or pakistan it will destroy the society

Those were just the glimpse in time when it began in india. most HIV carriers in India are either prostitutes who give birth to infants with that virus or closet homosexual men who give it to their wives and spread to others without knowing. Now multiply that my 20 to 30 years and you are easily looking at an exponential explosion in the hiv infections that can easily put the present day numbers in india to 500 million or more. Lemme guess...now your gonna say "yaaaaaaay that means 700 million are hiv free"!

HIV test in India is free. Almost everywhere its done.
It's a norm to test whenever there is a blood related test.

sure...even if the ethics of the lab testers was reliable, which it isn't, the accuracy of the test is questionable. I've just seen far too many Indians complain about Indians quacks, especially the supposedly government sponsored ones. There's a reason why the u.s. immigration used to scrutinize all those coming from India on work visas. the scrutiny went away not because of improvement of aids cases in India, but because of the u.s. law overall that puts bans on discrimination based on any and all health conditions.
