I have to disagree with her rationale. It doesn't entirely explain these charts. It shows even asian women discriminate against asian men. Then it says Asian men favor Hispanic women.

I always heard it was because if for some reason you get into a fight with a black woman you have a good chance of losing...badly..as in getting beat up.

qz.com ? Well some people generalize Asia to mean Chinese only....again refer to the video...so you need to figure out what your charts are talking about

Anyway the chart on the right (highest response rate) where "every" men (except Asian men) responding to Asian women already replies to the racial discrimination talked about by the video in OP

Well that is true. Up until a few years ago the number of Asians from west of Mynamar in this country was so small that it probably made up less than 5% of the total Asian count. In the last few years there has been an influx of people west of Myanmar so using the term Asian (when really referring to East Asians) needs to be retired.

I still think 99% of the population is so oblivious to the historical treatment of East Asians that it is a non-factor in how they perceive "attractiveness" or "suitability".

I dont think so...It has been reintroduced repeatedly via media esp movies! Not until prob mid 2000s "East Asians" women with no kungfu powers were always depicted as being "docile" (I remember I read that in some newspaper clipping regarding women choice) and all that the video highlighted

Well if somebody was from Sri Lanka and posted their pic I don't think any Hollywood movie would be applicable in how others form an opinion. So if there was a response other than say 50/50 how are you going to explain it?

Ahh...I am talking about a larger group and also a very well established one...Even your data suggested it...So bringing in other nations isnt really being helpful
