This article will explore the perils a fascist, supremacist religious ideology of Hindutva in India poses to China, Pakistan and subsequently to the rest of Asia. Focus of this article is particularly China. It is vital that the readers in no way assume that this phenomenon in India is new. It is not merely a passing phase in its history. Whenever South Asia has come under Hindu rule, the resulting empire has inevitably become fascist and militaristic; thus, expansionist in nature. The only difference today is that unlike the past, India has unstinting support from (a major power block) US, its allies and its protectorates making India’s Hindutva ideology more overt and blatant and hence stronger in its resolve. Therefore, one of Hindutva India’s target is now China.
Hindutva India as the New Empire of Japan
History doesn’t repeat itself but it rhymes. The best parallel of this current Hindutva led India can be drawn from the Empire of Japan (1868-1947), particularly the 1920s during which right wing movements sought to develop a consensus state which meant that all instruments of state power were to be used to attain collective objectives under guidance from national myths. Over the years, these efforts culminated in Showa Statism or Showa nationalism – an ultra-nationalistic, militaristic and expansionist ideology that shaped the entire policy of Japan at that time and instilled the belief of absolute leadership of Asia as a divine right. This historical comparison with Japanese Empire is natural, owing to India’s geographic proximity to China, sizeable military and a similarly overtly fascist, supremacist regime. It will greatly help in deciphering Hindu India’s real intentions. I request the readers to see India in this context to better understand the point.
India has historically claimed leadership of Asia, especially after 1947 when this Hindu majority state became independent. Pakistan, as discussed many times before, is considered an aberration which became an obstacle to achieving this long desired goal of Hinduization of Asia, just as Korea was an impediment to the Empire of Japan till its annexation which eventually paved the way for invasion of Manchuria by Japan in 1931.

This was strange coming from India, as it had recently annexed over 500 sovereign princely states (many of them by coercion) left by the British and had militarily invaded 3 followed by large scale massacres in each; thus, reliving a proud tradition of the Japanese Empire. In recent years, India has consistently tried to portray Tibet as a dharmic influenced peaceful territory which naturally belongs to the Hindu polity. The political pawn named Dalai Lama is paraded around the world by India as a symbol of resistance against China while in India, Dalai Lama’s followers have been conducting horrific sexual abuse since decades under complete protection from India’s govt. The West as usual refuses to see it. Dharamshala in India is a virtual terror headquarter where misinformation warfare and even terrorist training was imparted to Tibetan dissenters and the infrastructure is still intact. The plan is to treat Tibet as a separate entity from China and more close to India’s Hindu identity. The bifurcation of the disputed Jammu and Kashmir region is another example. Ladakh was to be used as a new Launchpad against Tibet. It may well be that China’s recent actions have temporarily thwarted those designs. By galvanizing international support in media through various organizations funded by India and by lobbying Tibetan Diaspora and US interest groups, India is preparing the ground work for targeting Tibet once again. Following the Japanese subversion tactics in Manchuria, India can stir up trouble.
The second target is Xinjiang. Here India along with the US and others, have portrayed China as the vilest conqueror of all times. US and Indian newspapers are filled with harrowing stories of “Chinese atrocities” against Muslims. The hypocrisy of both US and India is staggering. While US has used military against 6 Muslim countries in the last 15 years and have even used depleted uranium on civil areas while bombing hospitals resulting in countless deaths, India has maintained the largest concentration of troops on planet earth (in J&K) relative to the population density and has single headedly committed genocide of these people. India’s genocide of Muslims both in 1947 till today is an open secret.
US and India both want an armed Islamic insurgency in Xinjiang. India is spear heading this effort by increasing its involvement in Central Asian Republics (CARs). India is conducting military exercises and extending line of credits for defence to these states. In Tajikistan, India maintains a fully operational military base while also training its military. A simple search on google on each Republic will reveal many things. Many of these states are weak. The Turkic states particularly, can become a virtual haven for insurgent activities inside Xinjiang. While India accuses China of the string of pearls strategy, it is in fact India which is striving to impose its Hindu supremacist ideology on China.
On the economic front, India aims to target One belt One Road (OBOR), specifically, CPEC. Why would anyone oppose economic development that is agreed upon by almost all countries participating in this venture? If India were a normal country, it would actually benefit the most in this venture. The intention is simple as discussed earlier. The Hindu supremacist ideology dictates that India must bring China under its sphere of influence as Hindu civilization is a more ancient and pristine civilization than that of China. This manifests in the Indian support of US tariffs against China. Indian firms, media and interest groups are lobbying to enforce an exodus of western companies from China to India. This has picked up since the Covid-19 issue. India envisages to be a net beneficiary of this crisis.
India is also the leader of the “Quadrilateral security dialogue” which is basically a gang of regimes striving to counter the bogeyman of “Chinese aggression”. India hopes to expand its membership and form an alliance to let them lose on China - a kind of an Eight Nation Alliance that ruthlessly targeted China in the early 20th century. This event formed an important event in the Century of Humiliation saga. Coincidentally, it was the Empire of Japan that contributed the largest contingent of troops and claimed leadership of these atrocities. India is also actively seeking ASEAN bloc a kind of Yen bloc which the Japanese Empire had envisioned against the West. The rebranded Indo-Pacific Command has effectively drawn the battle lines against China and its allies.

Their goal is to portray a democratic India heroically fighting a totalitarian communist China – a thought the West adores. These movies attracted significant criticism from Chinese viewers. Indian target is also the vulnerable Chinese viewers in the mainland, Hong Kong, Taiwan along with ASEAN. In the western media circles, Indian narrative is gaining traction. News media is filled with stories of Chinese oppression and expansionism against India. India’s vigorous support of Hong Kong protests and propaganda is another effort to portray China as a vicious authoritarian regime. India has also raised the Hong Kong issue in UN to further antagonize China while India itself is brutally targeting civilian protests in Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and within its own mainland.
Solution
Some might not agree, but it must be stated. India’s hegemonic and supremacist Hindutva ideology is a great threat staring both China and Pakistan in the face. The Western support has emboldened the fascist Hindu regime. In my assessment, this will continue to grow as more assistance from the West becomes certain. China and Pakistan must now aim to launch a massive hybrid war against India with a synergetic approach.
Balkanization
The sole purpose should be to balkanize this country. It’s imperative to dismantle Indian state’s central authority over its constituent units. China should actively engage with India’s constituent states independent of its central government. Even if India doesn’t split, its highly autonomous states will curtail its expansionist Hindutva ambitions as they will not want to jeopardize their trade relations with China.
Central Asian Union
Pakistan and China must create a “Stans” economic organization encompassing all of (CARs) and Pakistan linking it directly with CPEC. Turkey, Iran and Russia should be invited as observers. To guard Xinjiang and Gilgit Baltistan it is imperative to take such an initiative. Removing Indian footprints from this region is important.
Peace Offensive in Eastern Front
On the Eastern front, the current Covid-19 pandemic has encouraged cooperation between China, Japan and South Korea. This must be solidified. US and India will play up the North Korean threat. Assurances could be given to these countries of North Korean silence. A soft approach in ASEAN is also needed. Hindu oppression must be exposed to drive Indonesia and Malaysia away from India. Major Economic concessions could be given. Furthermore, Australian racism against Asian communities must be exposed so as to break the Quadrilateral Security Dialogue. This has to be exposed as Western ploy.
Alliance in South Asia
Pakistan must arm small powers like Sri Lanka, Nepal and Myanmar. With Chinese consent, credit lines for strike weapons can be provided. Opposition groups in Bangladesh must be engaged, while the Bangladesh military could be offered generous defence aid packages. A mistake was made by letting Maldives slip away when it asked for assistance particularly from Pakistan. Even the smallest of overtures from these countries must be greeted with generous tangible assistance.
Exposing Hindutva
A media war must begin. Pakistan must expose Hindutva ideology to far eastern Muslim nations. Indian polity must be discredited and its people should be dehumanized across the world. This is only fair as Indian media has made complete use of Covid-19 scare to launch vicious attacks against Chinese citizens significantly contributing to Sino phobia in the West.
