I think India had elected a Hindu fundamentalist party. Religious fundamentalism could be dangerous to people of Other faith, such as Christians or Muslims, inside India.

No only bcz Hindus are tolerant Muslim and christians lived in India without the fear of beheading even though 1 billon Hindus lives in India.

Jind: A Hindu Mahasabha functionary on Tuesday stirred a controversy by appealing to Hindu youths to marry girls from other faiths as a counter to 'Love Jihad'.

Addressing a meeting of followers, working president of the Haryana unit of the Hindu Mahasabha, Dharmapal Siwach said the 'Bahu Laao Beti Bachaao (Bring Daughters-in-law, Save Daughters)' campaign would be launched from February.

He said the campaign aims to fight against 'Love Jihad', and Hindu youths will be asked to marry and bring girls from other religions like Islam, Christianity and others.

"We will ensure the dignity of the girls of other religions in the campaign. We will bind them in the bond of marriage and help such couples," he said.

The campaign will not only be carried out in Haryana, but also throughout the country, he said.

He urged Hindu youths to bring in more people to the Hindu Mahasabha to strengthen the outfit.

There is nothing unconstitutional about it. In our country inter caste and inter religious marriages are encouraged by the govt. By the way, because of female foeticide there are no women left in Haryana nor anyone likes giving their daughters to haryanavis. They are forced to share wives like draupadi among Pandavas or buying their brides from Kerala, Bangladesh, west bengal.

Calling BJP "secular" is a misnomer. Jamaat Islami (JI) also has its non-Muslim cells and that does not make JI secular. JI has also nominated non-Muslim members to the assembly elections in Pakistan. Jamiat Ulema e Islam did that too but both of them are not secular parties.

Pakistan cant be compared with India on anything. What i am saying is this that BJP was the most secular party way back in 1988 and more and more members have joined it and it become a platform for Hindu organizations but still there are BJP leaders who are secular .

I think its more about dowry issue and whatever the statements are being issued by the Hindu right group will make Muslim girls and guys to marry within their communities. I think the current situation is making atmosphere to marry within the respective communities.
