I created this thread because of @Śakra who says that incest is not practiced in India. Which is simply not true! They keep insisting that Muslim should be ashamed for marrying cousins!

Let it be clear that marrying Cousins and marrying Siblings are two completely different things!

Islam strictly PROHIBITS Marriage of Siblings. It is common mutual understanding of all Muslims around the world. It is an universally accepted fact by all Muslims!

Let us see the practice of Incest (Sibling) in India. How common it is!

Sick sick society and a bad example to the decent world.

The very definition of an Indian -"Very mean person they are".

And what about this:

Svayambhuva-Manu married Shatarupa, who bore him three daughters by name Akuti, Devahuti and Prasuti. Of these Akuti was given in marriage to the Prajapati Ruchi who had through her a son and a daughter. The son was no other than Hari known by the title 'Yajusham-pati' i.e. lord of the Yajus (mantras) (Bhag. 4-1-6) and the daughter was called Dakshina. Hari as 'lord of the Yajus' was called Yajñadeva whose consort was Dakshini. She was believed to be an amsa (aspect) of Bhuti i.e. Lakshmi. The brother and sister were married as husband and wife. To these were born twelve sons who were collectively called Yama-Devas. Their names were Tosha, Pratosha, Samtosha, Bhadra, Shanti, Idaspati, Idhma, Kavi, Vibhu, Vahni, Sudeva and Rochana....

Marriage of paternal cousins, now condemned, is not unknown to Hindu tradition. Marichi and Daksha were brothers and Kasyapa, the son of the former, married Aditi and other daughters of the latter.

What they are doing is per their religion.. I think we should not condemn them.. it's their religion..

.
Their whole identity is reaction to India, it’s “not India” so why do you expect anything more from them?

If it was cultural as opposed to religion then pakistan wouldn’t be dark red on the map, it would be the same colour as North India

You make a good point.

Culturally and genetically it should have been a mix of Iran and north / NW India.

So you're postulating Abrahamic over Semitic influence here?

Cheers, Doc

Correct. Tbh consanguineous was rare for Zoasterians outside of royality iirc so Irans’s elevated levels are due to Arahamic traditions as opposed to cultural.

No, it is worthy of condemnation, cats and dogs perform this sort base activity not humans.

Incest

Search "Cousin marriage" and find which map comes up.

Hindus practices cousin marriage as much as Muslims do, except when in a family there are brothers and sisters, children of brother cannot marry to children of their uncles (children of father's brothers), but they can marry to children of their aunts (children of father's sisters), like wise children of a sister can marry children of their uncle and not their aunts (children of mother's sisters).

In Brahmans however they do not marry among family and there must be no relation until 7 generations.

I have many Indian colleges and this understanding is result they explaining how things are within their sect and culture.

What you are trying to label as incest is not incest. Muslims can marry to their first cousin. But what would be incest is prohibited in Islam. Being a Muslim, one cannot marry to their brothers/sisters, or uncles or aunts, parents or grand parents, or women who have been married to your father (even if they are not your biological mothers), or grand mothers.

When the video maker(apparently an Indian) himself is declaring that marriage an illegal/bad thing, then there is no point in blaming whole Indian and Hindu society for that. This is Taboo in Indian society.

But I am afraid about West(Europe and America), that they might legalize it soon. Whole of East should combine their efforts to stop West from such madness.

So you are saying that Hindu traditional and religious books are spreading Taboo?

Why not leave Hindu people on what they believe in.. I mean if there is a tradition in Hinduism that a father married a daughter, a brother married a sister etc etc, why they should stop west from making that illegal?

Whatever is written in their books, brother-sister marriage is still considered Taboo in India.
My point is, don't blame people for what they don't do.

For example, their books never disallowed meat eating, but they don't eat meat(cant blame them of eating meat).
Their books never stopped them from doing multiple marriages, but they don't do that(cant blame them of polygamy).

So, its always better to stop our selves in putting undue pressure or blaming about the matters, they usually don't practice. Taboo, by books or without books, are Taboos.

Btw, Indian also blame us for the things, we don't practice, I don't care about it. Apna daman jab saf ho tu fikar kaisi.

Incent has no place in Islam and in Pakistan people will kill if they found about someone doing it, it is this kind of hated thing in Pakistan and you are posting false propaganda here.

@The Eagle @waz please take action about false propaganda about Pakistan.

If that chart represent cousin marriages then it may be true.

Since we all came from Adam and eve we are all products of incest isn't it.

First video.. seems like it's need because it's uncommon where a guy made his sister pregnant and ran off knowing the repercussions. Precisely since its not practise it is news.
Second video I cannot view.
Third is in a language I can't understand
Four the seems to be a documentary of this practise in a tribal a area of chattisgarh.
Fifth says it's the send off given to a sister at marriage.
So clearly you are trolling .
