I am yet to get a proof to think otherwise. Till now Islamophobia seems to be the biggest reason behind this support for trump.

Basically it boils down to what you think....i.e no neutral proof or evidence. Just what you think. You have not polled anyone or surveyed anyone....you just assume anyone supporting Trump thats Indian is an islamophobe, racist, bigot as though all 3 things are the same phenomenon and as though some survey on neighbour preference is a measure of racism.

Its pretty funny and ironic given the severely racist posts posted by Pakistanis at the start of this thread...one even given a positive rating....till it had to be removed by a mod.

A great number of non-muslims are islamophobes and racists in different ways (sometimes open about it, sometimes not). What is your point? Indians are something different from the global phenomena?

It seems even 11% of Muslims in America are islamophobes since they support Trump. Or you admit there are other agendas that such Trump support is focused on (in which case your logic crumbles again w.r.t Trump uni-dimensionality).

Until you do a survey of the Indians voting for trump regarding what they think of muslims, you have no way to prove any community is more or less islamophobic/racist/bigoted than another.....especially supposedly given 70% of Americans support asking Muslims entering the US if they support sharia and 80% of that 70% further support stopping those that say yes from entering (the survey posted earlier).

actually from what i know most indian americans are democrats. you can google this. they are the most democrat leaning group in the u.s., except for maybe blacks. i remember an article that said 85% of indians voted for obama in 2008

I actually think Trump will be a good thing for India in the long run. But we can work ok with Hillary too....we know her positions clearly....just more of Obama type stuff with a little more awkwardness because of what you stated. But it can be brushed aside since its foreign policy politics for the most part....just like how Modi brushed aside the visa thing with the US and chose to engage positively for his country's sake (and he does have a big heart too).

Why do 85% of Indians in the US vote for democrats? Are democrats islamophobic and racist too because of that? Would you say 15% is a tiny minority and that even those may not even vote trump like your 11% muslims?
