HILARIOUS: US Air Force sacks nuclear commander after blunders

"But on a lighter note, i bet they cant 'hide' much even if they want to with so many crooks nourishing both inside and outside their establishments!"

Thank goodness for an inquiring press and a public demand for a process of accountability.

If it were only so in every nuclear-armed state...:agree:

Evidently, it is not necessary elsewhere. At least, based upon what we're told.

I am quite sure that with the the increasing frequency of nuke fook-ups in the USA! one may just end up with the mid-western hicks or them Mexicans! I also heard that a dog took a dump on the I-95 recently in Washington DC, hope the US nukes are safe as a result!! :azn:

But we all know that the more you finger a 'thing' the more are the chances of it screwing around. It necessarily doesnt mean that the facts are always being hidden, but it rather speaks high of the security and control in place as compared to the loose setup or may be the practices being employed by other counterparts.

this may sound funny, but it's bad real bad.Incompetent politicians(like Bush) is one thing, imcompetent military personnel like those mentioned in the article is another thing.

BTW,I thought once a B-52 was loaded with nuclear weapons.Any article about nuclear weapons equipments being lost in Hongkong?doesn't that mean that the Chinese got hold of US nuke tech?

"So, am I not as just in assuming that it was carrying a nuclear warhead as you are in assuming that it wasn’t? It s just a matter of perspective!"

The article makes clear that these were "parts for an intercontinental ballistic missile..."

Warheads are maintained and transported separately. They are mated at the silos. I know this and you do not.

There is no "perspective" at play if you've the knowledge of our procedures. As such, I sense you tap-dancing in dissemblance.

I l repeat what I already said- a nuclear warhead is ‘a part for an ICBM’ and not something to fry your morning bacon and eggs. The cargo of a truck carrying a nuclear warhead can very well be described as "part for an intercontinental ballistic missile" especially when the news is for public consumption!
Oh btw since you have so much knowledge of your procedures, you will probably know that a rocket booster (part of an ICBM) too is more threatening than a ‘large fly’.

You're engaged in distortionism right now by conflating the reason for President Obama's award-

"...your president gets a Nobel for being a self proclaimed nuclear watchdog of the world!"

Please read...

IN DETAIL lest your dissembling and distortionist behavior continue-

Nobel Peace Prize 2009-The Norwegian Nobel Committee

I challenge you to find ANYWHERE in their description of the rationale behind the award a reference to being a nuclear watchdog of the world much less SELF PROCLAIMED.

Hmm if you expected the citation to say- ‘The Norwegian Nobel Committee has.....for being a self proclaimed nuclear watchdog of the world’, then I must say that the committee happened to be more tactful than you.
But, from the same source, some of the reasons for the award are-
- The Committee has attached special importance to Obama's vision of and work for a world without nuclear weapons.
- The vision of a world free from nuclear arms has powerfully stimulated disarmament and arms control negotiations.

Yeah right! Mr. President does not agree to a global ‘no first use policy’. Why? Because his state itself believes in first use of nukes! Mr. President wants the world to sign NPT while giving special status to his state and 4 others. This club can do anything, amass any number of nukes, use nukes at will and threaten other countries with nukes but the others aren’t even supposed to think of nukes even if they are for peaceful purposes. The citation says ‘powerfully stimulated disarmament’ –a civilized way of saying- ‘forcefully coerced disarmament applicable to the world but not US’. A truly inspired vision definitely meriting a Nobel! Right?
A self proclaimed nuclear watchdog indeed!

Henceforth don't confuse yourself for a comedian as you evidently lack the talent. Your choice of material was over your head and your delivery sucked.

Who wants to be a comedian when there are so many jokers around including in the superpower AF who will conveniently doze off with security codes for ICBMs and gents who find a 'large fly' more threatening than a nuke.

A nuclear warhead is also ‘a part’ of an ICBM. Isn’t it? So, ‘a truck carrying parts for intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs)’ could be a truck carrying a nuclear warhead. Couldn’t it? So, am I not as just in assuming that it was carrying a nuclear warhead as you are in assuming that it wasn’t? It s just a matter of perspective!

Actually no! the warhead is transported separately.

What is so Hilarious abt US sacking their nuclear commander?

Many mistakes were happened in the past as well with the B-52`s flying over US with nuclear missiles.

Its a matter of security for the whole country. If anything unfortunate happens peoples lives?

Any irresponsible person shouldn't be held in such position.
