High-altitude 'Killer' Missile next year.

India's DRDO is Planning to Test-fire High-altitude 'Killer' Missile next year. (Mostly in January). India has being doing some good work in the development of missile technology capabilities. But it does not have to go to town patting its back and allowing China and Pakistan have an early peek into India's progress.

New missile called PDV, It will have an innovative system for controlling the vehicle at an altitude of more than 150 kms! India has already tested demonstrated killing capability of PAD at an altitude of 50 to 80 kms. The Advanced Air Defence (AAD) interceptor missile also has destroyed the target missile at an altitude of 15 to 30 km.

This will be a great technological advancement and the next year is only going to get Better, Tougher and More Interesting!

Bro maybe you are confusing it a bit - high altitude killer missile means its a ballistic missile defence system being developed which can intercept and "kill" incoming enemy ballistic missiles even at high altitudes of about 150 kms. - so as to cause minimum damage on ground......It has nothing to do with "mountain strike corps" as such....

kindly elaborate the bold point because warhead is intercepted before the warhead detonated (regardless of the altitude) then it wouldn't produce a nuclear explosion, as the warhead's explosion sequence has to be precisely timed.

May be we cant say that in case of Chemical (A toxic chemical, such as poison gas or nerve gas may be used) or Biological (An infectious agent, such as anthrax spores may be used) weapons being mounted on those ballistic missiles - Chemical and biological weapons are attractive to many countries because they are much easier to produce than nuclear weapons and unfortunately, many countries with chemical and biological warfare programs also are equipped with ballistic and/or cruise missiles - Accuracy is not very important for these weapons when used against urban areas or large concentrations of military forces. Being a layman that's all I can understand......
