So as it turned out, the Trump team is indeed the herd of the morons and dumbest policymakers that Krugman described. He was right, and I was wrong.

China imported and stockpiled semiconductors, and imported machines needed for making chips for its technology industry. As well, it succeeded in making 40-nanometer chips domestically. They also gained confidence through breakthroughs in making 28- and 14-nanometer chips.

After these successes, China started to retaliate against the US. It bided its time for two and a half years. Now Trump’s strategists are dumbfounded by China’s breakthroughs in the semiconductor industry that could soon severely damage the US chip-manufacturing industry.

This is a crucial issue that Trump’s strategists failed to foresee.

Technology has many routes to achieve same result. The only problem of 40nm is power efficiency. Optimizing OS design, Optimizing chip design, Optimizing Algorithm design can reduce power consumption. For research direction, China may go full 3d chip with DUV.

China is on a very different level today. The only country in the world which for the most part is self-sufficient and fully capable of running its affairs without much interference from outsiders. Not an as easy task.

This is what happens when schools don't teach the Korean War because it is too shameful for Americans to learn about.

A few decades later, they repeat the same mistakes.

The trade war they lost is just the beginning, soon we will take over Taiwan and wrest supremacy of the Pacific Ocean from the Americans.

Then they will face justice for the genocide they perpetrated on the Native Indians.

US keeps losing and fast too at the current rate. China is going to K.O. the US coming from unsuspected angles.

I am sorry for my earlier aggressive comments.
But this is a fact that USA and western countries blackmail developing countries for very very small things. And developing countries pay big amounts for peanuts.
One thing China should do, if China can, to break western monopoly on software concerning chip design technology. One thing more, after nano meter, Quantum is coming, and Western universities and research orgs are developing it at a very accelerated rate. China must do something for it, or China will be nowhere after 10 years from now on.

Russians might help.

😂 Tell me about those open source software plz...
Look it up...

I am speechless, really I am.
You simply don't know what we were talking of.

C'mon fill us in. You mentioned something on a different thread about Pakistan not being able to access certain software. I'm intrugued. Also i'm no expert so dumb it all down a little for me.
