there are so many online downloader.. just paste the video url and it will download.
dont have to install software..
or.. you can install real player(windows).. after installation hover over youtube video, you will get option to download.

Open any Youtube video and type 'pwn' (without the quotation marks) before 'youtube' in the URL.

So, for example:
http://w w w. youtube.com/w atch?v=tYB-6i_q4sU
would become
pwnyoutube.com/watch?v=tYB-6i_q4sU

It will take you to deturl, from where you can choose one link. I generally prefer File2HD or SaveFrom.
It's generally a very reliable method.

just download an extension or addon.

for instance I am using Opera so I go to add extensions and I just search "youtube download" and a whole lot of extensions pop up I can use.
