HELP ! What is the scope of aeronautical engineering?

A friend wants to know what is the scope of aeronautical engineering in the civil sector of Pakistan ?
I have no idea.My guess is that the scope might be very limited.
Any clues ?

what a load of BS, Aeronautical engineering is something great if you have done it from a reputable university, a class mate of mine recently got a job offer from Etihad Airways in Abu Dahbi.
