Yes we know it was designed by "Zee Germans" and is nothing more than a glorified BK-117.... introduced in 1982.

Arms lobbies can even influence our Defence ministers, and you think they cant make a retired admiral to write this piece of propaganda??
Because he is a a former Indian Admiral,Does that mean he can state such illogical statements??
It is fact that LCA design was finalised in 1990s,and first TD was rolled out in 1995..And look at what he states!!

''Last month, Indian defence authorities quietly announced that India's prestigious Light Combat Aircraft, originally to have become operational in 1995''

And yes it is a 2001 article..Indian defence sector has come a long way...in the past 12 years

Akash has already been Inducted and we also have a working BMD

Nag has been inducted and HELINA is undergoing tests from ALH Rudra

same can be said about Agni V,Brahmos,Shaurya and other missiles

Also Su-30 and T-90s are being manufactured in India now...

You can do better than digging out a 2001 article

Give me a break dude, you think Indian MOD, which never stops ranting about the so called INDIGENOUS platforms will ask someone to expose their lies.
How conveniently you are more inclined towards the dates rather than the original argument on the actual ingenuity of the LCA.
And a decade earlier the Admiral wasn't wrong about the operational date.

check the number of companies involved in dreamliner project..

Usual indian feed on propoganda.. dhruv or rudra both are glorified BK-117s designed by Germany... and 28 other countries.. providing its parts... so much for indigenous helicopter...

Indian Armed forces are more reluctant in accepting indigenous products.lies?care to explain?

I am inclined towards the truth. As usual pakistanis find it better to state 1983 as the date for of initiation of the Tejas program so that they can blabber 'India cannot operationalise a fighter after 30 years of development blah blah blah'.
The truth is that LCA design was finalised in 1990s,Phase 1 commenced in 1990 and HAL started work on the technology demonstrators in mid-1991.And full scale funding did not came till April 1993

Our country can make operational satellite launch vehicles, while you cannot even design and manufacture your own motor bikes...

In July 2011, reports stemming from the Associated Press of Pakistan emerged that Ecuador had experienced significant issues with the Dhruv's maintenance, such as a "poor after sales service, expensive spares and... over-invoicing"

Associated Press Of Pakistan ( Pakistan's Premier NEWS Agency ) - Indian Dhruv helicopters dismally fail in Ecuador

:omghaha:

the authenticity of these reports has been challenged by HAL and the EAF

In a letter to this medium, the commanding general of the EAF, Leonardo Barreiro Muñoz says that these helicopters are very good and they have been involved in major rescue operations

The article mentions be based on information a news agency in Pakistan, a situation that in no way warrants the base consider him credible and true. On the other hand contains a number of false claims is intended only to discredit a company of international prestige and the Ecuadorian authorities.

There was a reason they bought western helicopters after tht incident and not "indigenous" indian helis..

The accident reports clearly tate that it was due to pilot error....

From EAF itself...
