KUWAIT CITY, Jan 3, (KUNA): Kuwait’s Defense Ministry announced on Wednesday the safety of the army’s Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Mohammed Al-Khuder and his accompanying delegation following a helicopter accident during his official visit to the friendly Republic of Bangladesh.

The helicopter carrying the Chief of Staff and his accompanying delegation during his visit to Bangladesh suffered an accident while landing in the Silit area, where the heavy fog obscured the pilot’s vision, causing the helicopter to have contact with trees prior to landing in the designated site, the ministry said in a press release.

It added that the Chief of Staff has contacted the First Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Sheikh Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah as well as Deputy Chief of Staff Gen Abdullah Nawaf Al-Sabah, stressing that only minimal materialistic damage and moderate injuries were reported.

The Chief of Staff and his entourage left Kuwait on Monday morning for an official visit to the friendly People’s Republic of Bangladesh. His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al- Jaber Al-Sabah made a phone call to Lieutenant-General Mohammad Khaled Al-Khuder, over the helicopter crash. During the phone call, HH the Amir inquired about health of the Chief of Staff and his delegation following the accident.

In return, Al-Khuder extended his sincere thanks and appreciation to HH the Amir for his generous and paternal initiative to inquire about his health and his companions’ safety, wishing the Amir lasting good health and wellness.

His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah made a phone call to Chief of the General Staff of the Kuwaiti Army Lieutenant-General Mohammad Khaled Al-Khuder to inquire about his health following the helicopter accident in Silit in Bangladesh. In return, Al-Khuder extended his sincere thanks and appreciation to HH the Crown Prince for his generous and paternal initiative. His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah made a similar phone call.

Accident happend..............yes of course.
BUT 1...2...3...4........ how many times? for me it,s look like a regular basis. there is something wrong what should be find out. :coffee:

A helicopter carrying the Kuwait delegation made an emergency landing in Sreemangal on Wednesday

Kuwait Armed Forces delegation has praised the Bangladeshi pilot for capably handling the Bangladesh Air Force helicopter during an emergency landing in Sreemangal.

A helicopter carrying the Kuwait delegation made an emergency landing inside a Border Guard Bangladesh camp on Wednesday.

The helicopter was carrying around 15-16 passengers, including the visiting Kuwait Armed Forces delegation.

Bangladesh Army Chief of Staff General Abu Belal Muhammad Shafiul Huq met the delegation, led by chief of general staff of Kuwait Armed Forces Lt Gen Mohammad Khaled Al-Khuder, at a city hotel at night, said an ISPR press release.

During the visit, Al-Khuder told the army chief that the delegation was impressed by the handling of the situation by the helicopter pilot which ensured that everyone onboard was safe and sound.

He also lauded the rescue team, saying: “The Bangladesh rescue team evacuated us within five minutes.”

Bangladesh Army Chief Belal said they had a talk with Lt Gen Al-Khuder soon after the incident.
