Heisenberg's theory of uncertainty based on Vedas, Rajnath Singh says

Because statements on morality and lifestyle are not subject to the same scrutiny that applies to scientific claims.

I was talking about the scorn poured on the beliefs (religious, non-scientific) such as usually done on elephant headed gods and the like as somehow being an inferior superstition than their own.

This thread is not about elephant heads, is it?

Let's stick to the topic.

......and there were far more foolish claims that remain just that....you know that as much as I do. If there are claims that can be proved, we must do so with evidence. Not just shoot the mouth off randomly.

Point is to keep an open mind to all possibilities and not go crazy when ever someone claims something . I don't remember any foolish claims , so you might want to enlighten me on that . Ridiculing something until its proven wrong only makes the one ridiculing look like a total fool . The other retarded habit of many folks here is to scream "Conspiracy theory" when ever they hear something outside the box . Politicians love that line , that one line helps to protect their deeds .

Nice way to avoid the question. Took you only about 20 minutes to come up with this.

But the question remains- is Islam scientific or not?
As if I am sitting all day to reply to your apartheid rants. Get yourself life and get to see the world around you, which at present is laughing loud at the show put up by the PM of the world's largest democracy and a would be supa powa on the existence of stem cell technology and plastic surgery in the ancient India.

You are confusing two subjects.

Many religious rituals have evolved over the centuries through experience and their validity can now be explained scientifically. For example, washing hands, not eating pork, fasting have all had valid scientific reasons.

That is different from claiming that astronomical knowledge is encoded in ancient texts.

That is not wrong but it is incumbent on the person making the claim to provide proof.

Sure it is , but as i said best keep an open mind , many of the atheistic intellectuals these days remind me of Christian Bishops during dark ages in their rigidity of thinking .. Ridiculing everything which is contrary to their beliefs

Yeah you were present on this thread all the time, replying to other posts.

Anyway if you missed it I am actually against superstitions and false claims of all kinds from all religions and have opposed the statement from the minister on this thread. It's a pity that you can't say the same about your djinns and angels. The best you can do is avoid tough questions, typical intellectual dishonesty.

That should be understood in the contexts of the posts posted. I was not the one who brought in elephant heads. Anyone believing in superstition regardless of whether they think theirs is more sophisticated needs to be called out when they make snide comments.

Oh Hindus are also suggested various things which can be claimed as scientific. My post was just to expose his dishonesty.

My dear your verbose is not doing its charm because you are trying to compare apples with oranges. Claiming that stem cell technology, plastic surgery, and regeneration medicine invented and practiced in India and presenting mythological figures as proof of the existence of those technologies has nothing to do with believing in supernatural beings such as Jinns or angels. Nobody is presenting their beliefs in Jinns or Angels as proof of anything whereas you and your countrymen are trying to find or present mimics of todays (and even of future) technologies in the ancient texts.

@Developereo , does the below chap come under the "we" category?

At-least followers of the Abrahamic religions don't take unfortunate genetic mess ups for the reincarnation of gods and godesses, and allow the rest of the world to laugh at.
