I know that Pakistan Army height standards are significantly lower than for Indian Army.

Pakistan takes in like 5'4" for its army, while except for special cases like gurkhas, Indian Army from similar regions accepts 5'7".
Example western Plains region- Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh , Delhi , Rajasthan and Western UP ( Meerut and Agra Division) 170cm(5'7")

There is a Officer in Swat Passport office who is from my city ..before he was in Peshawar Office.

I guess his height is not more then 3'.

@ this indian guy "Rajputana" who is harping on about minimum heights for candidates applying to PA:

first of all - 3 or 4 posts here confirmed that average heights in Pakistan are higher than figures across the border in the neighbour country. So dont take my word for it. Second of all, if Pakistan has a lower minimum height it has no bearing whatsoever on what are the actual average heights. It's just a pre-designated requirement that fosters to people within the range. PA is a voluntary force. They obviously monitor the candidates fitness level, body-fat %, and determine whether he'd be fit for candidacy (prior to undergoing training).


the US Army's minimum height restriction is 60 inches (5 feet!). Check their recruitment website. Does it mean that Americans are typically short people?

i've always observed the opposite

whereas I used to tower over my grandfathers (bless their souls) i have friggin 14-15 year old nephews that are already passing 1.8 - 1.9 meters and still growing

this is especially true in the big cities
