First of all China is not the USA nor do they have same policies, history, background or enemies. If the Uighurs had any intention of such actions they would have done it in china way before world trade center. They had no dog fight with china and the whole Islamic world never had any dog fight with china because there was no reason for it.

They specifically targeted Han Chinese, killing them indiscriminately. All in the name of East Turkestan, which they proclaimed on the day of Nov. 12, 1944. It was just a minor incident nearly 100 years ago and China has taken retribution against them and other minorities back then like tibet and others who wanted to separate which is also understandable from their POV. Who sought a country for themselves and number wise these people were tiny to even carry out much logistically.

As for this era it's pointless where as none of the people who existed in 1944 are alive and probably it was 2-3 generations ago.

The manchurians have also suffered post 1945 and probably experienced a genocide. So China have already taken retribution back more then double fold.

So far I've yet to see any hard proof of ethnic cleansing that western media accuses China of doing in Xinjiang against the Uyghurs. Some reports that there are millions of people in so called concentration camps. If that's really the case then some hard evidence has to have came out by now. China isn't closed like North Korea and people travel in and out all the time so hard evidence should come out pretty easily. So far, the best evidence I've seen are just testimonials by Uyghurs from outside of China working for the free East Turkestan movement so they are clearly biased. Until I see some actual footage of the alleged tortures or killings, I'm not going to believe this.

Why would it be disturbing?
Its good that the Chinese are good at doing and producing, and not at trolling.
