Wrote it last year..
One hell of a test but not impossible...Prepare well..at least 3 months should be allocated for preparation.
You need to be strong in Chemistry, Physics, Organic Chemistry, Biology, Physiology, Genetics, basic Anatomy, Verbal Reasoning Skills & have quick reading comprehension skills.
And if you don't meet the minimum scores, most Canadian schools won't even consider your application.
Best advice is to purchase prep books and study from those or enroll into a prep course.
Also study from past MCAT tests, they are very helpful and you should be doing those on a bi-weekly basis.
Most people don't get the scores they need on their first try, so be prepared to write it again..Good luck.
Remember, the MCAT is not about memorizing and knowing everything; you will be tested on a very small amount of material but you will have to apply it to situations you've never seen before, and that's what makes it extremely difficult. Not to mention the fact that it's entirely multiple choice and each answer to the multiple choice questions are highly similar.
It is a true beast which will test your understanding and intelligence; and it is a good measure to rule out people who aren't cut for medicine.
I hope i avoid writing it more than once but do you have to wait for like a whole year to re-write it again?
