oooo kabar darr!!
Plus i promised to show them around, not around Faisalabad
acha mazay ke baat yeh ha that our news papers really do not go to such extremes, not usually at least!trust me... they dont bite... lolz... imagine pakistani view of indians as trishul wielding hindu mob.. as shown in newspapers.
May be that is why you will see many more Pakistani people ready and willing to welcome anyone from India. Plus the thing is that we can be very ferocious enemies but when one becomes our guest than that is another story!
Yup i know the roots of the name. Plus the archeological sites also gives you a clear indication of WHY! The normal grey stone in the area is considered the best for building even today and is transported all across the country for multi story structures because of its low low density. We Indians call it Taksasila or the city of cut stones (in Sanskrit). That place is like a treasure to anyone who is interested in archeology, me being one.
I hope and I hope, that someday I get to visit that place.
Yup,No. I haven't seen it, if you meant on PDF.
this is one of them where you will find some interesting infor about Taxila. A friend here was planning a visit to Taxila and we were helping him plan that so plenty of details there.

however they might be a bit difficult to find. Will tag you when i am sharing new ones.
This is the old city and the clock tower. It was among the first "planned cities" in British Raj. Named after Lieutenant-Governor of Punjab, Sir James Broadwood Lyall it was called Lyallpur initially. It is now the third biggest city of Pakistan and is knows as Manchester of Pakistan (for its textile industry).Got curious about Faisalabad after I read your post. It looks like a well planned city. Loved the sky view of it>>>

All said,
NOTHING COMPARED TO TAXILA! That area was heaven compared to Faisalabad
You will make a lot of new onesI will have to ditch my freinds then. Lol
Still, dont ditch them. You have watch those Tom and Jerry cartoons, get an idea from them and bring them along, tell them that the plane is going to Morocco
