Yaar its festive season in Delhi!! every where people are dancing. Cant wait for 2 days. Today I went Lal Quila Ramleela. Ultimate!! everything including costumes, food dances. Durga Mandir in Chandni chowk is must see!!

There are many cultural and historical things coincide with this festival. Some of them are

1) [Historical] On this day, Lord Ram was victorious over Lanka and killed its king Raavan. (Though being highly intelligent figure, Raavan is also respectable)

2) [Cultural] 9 days fast ends on this day. These fasts are dedicated to each of the 9 Important Goddesses

3) [Cultural] Victory of Durga Mata over Mahishasura

4) [Mythological] End of Agnyatawas of Pandavas
