It's not in the same scale, can you understand? European, mainly British and French had 4 wars with China, thousands of soldiers every time. The scale is not big as you imagine, they were far away, had limited ability. These years, China don't give up resourcing all cultural relics stolen to Europe, some relics have been returned. Chinese still ask the British and French apologize before the burnt Summer Palace.

Japan deployed more than one million soldiers, made dozens of massacres. The war continued 14 years. The war China-Europe and China-Japan is totally different. Europe got some interests, they would withdrew; the Japanese goal was occupying the whole China. Weapons used also were different. Damage are not in the same level.

Your attitude is totally different with mine. Vietnam is in dilemma. Vietnam is free to choose East culture, West culture, even Islam culture. But China has no other chance, Chinese has to insist own culture.

Have you asked for apologies to your Russian allies for the crimes they also committed in China?? Let me guess.......hmmmmmm.......no Never even thought about it. lool I'm sure if Japan was European/White like Russia you wont be asking them so persistently for apologies.

As Mikey pointed out about the Russians in WW II, would you demand the same apology and restitution from Russia ? After all, back in WW II, whatever the Japanese built in Manchuria rightly belongs to China at war's end, yet Mao allowed Stalin to loot Manchuria and took pretty much all the valuable things Russian troops could carry back to Russia.

The all combined is not equal to the scale of WWII.
I find you guys sometimes have weird self-perception. It isn't the last two centries that Chinese firstly met with European/White. In Han dynasty 2000 years ago, China had posted diplomats to as far as Rome, nowadays Syria area. China-Persia diplomatic relation maitained hundreds of years. 1000 years ago, China resisted Arbia expansion in central Asia. In 17th century, China competed with Russia in Baykal lake area, with Holland in Taiwan.

Anyway, why you has to justify for the Japanese crime in WWII? The France and Britain had 100 year war, nobody need to apologize, but after WWI, WWII, the defeated nations need to apologize. The world rule changed, can't you get it?

To 'justify' means to make right, as in morally acceptable. Who is trying to make what Imperial Japan did to China as morally acceptable ? Be careful with your language.
