I don't usually get involve din ME stuff, but in this case Israel seems right and Hamas seem cynical, who stir stuff up just so they can gain some popularity & funds.If they want Israel to stop, they should stop firing rockets at Israel, it's that simple. They won't win this and nobody will help them fight this - but then again, were would they be without fighting the oppressors?

About casualties, however regrettable, they are pretty low considering all the sorties IAF is doing these days,

A little off topic: as an outside observer, it's quite weird that the most..strong..anti-Israeli comments come from Pakistani and Iranian posters - from two countries that never had any conflicts with Israel, and in Pakistanis case, no connection whatsoever with Palestine. On the contrary, members from countries who actually had conflicts with Israel are more balanced in their view and/or don;t get involved.

Israel only kills when the Palestinians attack them. Hamas and Palestinians try to keep killing the Israelis.

Israel is a nation that doesn't declare it's borders and is on the offensive. Israel has killed thousands of Palestinians in crackdowns on uprisings inside occupied Palestinian territory. That's mass murder and state sponsored violence. Israel also used to go on the offensive in the past against neighboring nations.

Whatever ..for the record, I don't agree with all the policies Israel employs, especially the settlements, but Israel is there to stay, as a country, on that territory, for the conceivable future.

You're looking at things strictly from materialistic perspective of wealthy nations. Any uprising or retaliation would be automatically 'suicidal' from your perspective since Israel has too much military force.

So according to your logic if there is an uprising in the occupied West Bank. It would be suicidal. Why does it have to be that way? That is called state sponsored violence and colonialism. How could you support that?

There's no point in discussing damage in this thread. We all agree they need to develop their military capabilities. If you want that you can tag me in the 'Arabic coffee shop' thread.

The point here isn't a military based discussion, it's a political one. Many people here are pressing forward with these preconcieved notions but have yet been able to support them with evidence?
