HAL's Light Utility Helicopter: A brief

Look at the engine side.. Hal isn't finalized the definite engine.. and it clearly shows its not going to be Shakti or any other tubomecca product because they don't produce this engine class.

Depending on these specs are correct, it's too early to say that it won't be a version of Shakti, since the competition for the engine is still about to come. Btw Turbomecca has the Arriel 2D and 2E engines, both dual channel FADEC versions and with comparable power and used in similar Eurocopter helis:

And a smaller Shakti engine should still be the prefered solution, since it increases commonality to Dhruv and LCH. It would be even perfect if we could use it in the foreign LUH as well, but just like in the Kaveri - Snecma engine case, the French know we are desperate and therefor might ask for a good ammount of money. At the end I wouldn't be surprised if we end up with them again, because of ToT or low restrictions.

French asked too much for the engine development of LUH just like they tried to screw us in Kaver-Snecma deal. They are notorious in this and try to extract every penny from the customers. No wonder there are so few takers for their systems .

I would prefer any country over France in engine development.

As if any other country would act different? Everybody knows we can't do it alone, that's why they are in the better position to negotiate and that's why our only option is to raise tenders.
Russia constantly is increasing prices and MoD even openly criticises them and Isreal for the cost increases of A50 Phalcon, so that is nothing unusual or personal, but simple buisiness.

He will go down in history as one of the pioneers of Indian Aviation.
Are you sure? Is it really a world class product like Arjun, Tejas and Dhruv? Can this product compete with others available in market? And lastly are you sure the rooftops are not leaking.

It's looking very boring design and none will purchase it.
