Halal and Kosher hit by Dutch ban

Many many many studies have proven that Halaal method of animal slaughter is less painful. There is just a lot of blood spilling everywhere that makes it look gore but the idea is to cut the jugular, killing the supply of blood to the brain, making the brain numb to pain.

The stun method is to whack the cow on the head hard enough to knock it out.

Actually, it is the Carotid Arteries on both sides of the neck that are cut to stop the supply to the brain; the jugular is the vein that carries the return blood to the heart.

The stun method involved not a whack to the head, but a cartridge powered sharp rod that enters the brain stem and knocks out all basic functions instantaneously, including pain.

well, try breaking someones neck! and then hit him anywhere you want in the under part, trust me he wont feel the slightest of pain. Why... because he doesnt have any signals coming from the brain down to the body.

on the other hand... was it legal to sacrifice the animal in Islamic and Jewish way in Netherland? it isn't in Norway and since there are more Right wing idiots in Netherlands...

The question is "What is the main motive behind the idea of ban.". It has not been banned yet.
Is it due to animal welfare or xenophobia and racism? I think a bit of both.

Animal welfare ... I don't thing so because of a research in Germany shows clearly that while halal process animal never feel pain ... and the fact is its more xenophobia and racism factor is their ... in addition let me remind you that all the diseases actually flow through blood and in all methods other than halal / kosher blood trapped in body and veins ... and then it may create some problems of Human Welfare ... well then its upto them what ever they choose for their people (Animal Welfare / Human Welfare) ...

sorry to say but jugular is a vein it brings back blood do not supplies blood so blood supply can't be stopped just by cutting jugular and hence brain will feel anormous pain unless a sudden blow on spinal cord there is no other painless method

you can't stop blood entering brain just via cutting carotids what about the vertebral arteries also the internal carotid is very hard to cut , regarding sharp blow there is no sure and certain method to do so only sudden cutting is the only method

dont look at youtube for stuff like that... it may be true, they may be scared. but that is the slaughters fault, you need to take care of the animal. all you see is someone who slams the animal in the ground two-three men hold it and then cut it's troat! that is not how you do it.

respect to the animal, dont rush. be sure it is relaxed, turn it's head away so the animal dont see whats happening. tie its front and the left back foot and then do the Dua or whatever it is you are going to do and then cut its troat!

sorry sir isn't it difficult to find common carotid artery its embedded deep , shock can't produce catecholamine surge fast enough as it have to travel to adrenals via sympathetic system also if you cut the carotids how can the catecholamines reach the brain vertebral arteries form the part of cirlce of willis hence whatever the transfer due to increased excitation (B.P.) it may give significant amount of o2 to the brain for few minutes of pain perception
