HAL receives RFP for 15 Light Combat Helicopter(LCH) for the Indian Army & Air Force

. .
There were reports that IA and IAF will order 114 and 65 LCH's respectively. What happened to that order as LCH's TD-4 design has been freezed & finalized and it has successfully performed in all weather trails as well

That's still the requirement, but LCH is yet to receive final clearance which will be next year.
15 LCH deal was actually decided last year by MoD.

There's still so much imported stuff on LCH. If orders go beyond 200, there's no excuse not to make it fully home made.

With the kind of employees at HAL who are a bunch of lazy morons, HAL would take forever to build 200 LCH's. Those faggots won't do the job but cry their *** off if MoD offers any contract to private players. MoD and GoI should seriously consider privatizing these non performing PSU's (OFB's in particular) which would not just improve the rate of production but also the quality as well.

Recently some guy posted a thread about Amogh, Ghatak and Excalibur produced in one of the OFB's and their finish looked like as if they were some cheap chinese toys or PVC guns for children that are sold in a village fair

LCH is nice and all, but don't compare it to the flying tank. :p
Big difference. But it's okay because we'll be getting them too anyway.

honestly, even if its not good, its a platform which will improve with time. a capability, which and independence from third part. Pakistan air force and are going on same path. but only thing which we haven't started working on is helicopter.
