HAL‬ LCH TD-3 fires 70 mm rockets ahead of ‪IronFist‬

Very good news, credit where credit is due- HAL is keeping to their timelines and making great progress with the LCH. TD-4 begun flying with no fanfare and now they have gone ahead with these tests and only reported it once they were sucessful.

Kudos to HAL and all involved.

They say air to air missile also, most likely Mistral.

So wouldn't it be better if we , go for Mistrals only in our shoulder fired surface to air missile tender ?

Or it will not bring in much difference ?

UK recently test fired guided rockets with excellent accuracy ..

Should buy those .. It will have almost silimalr impact like Excalibur ..

It's always benefical to have commonality where possible but sometimes the pros don't outeight the pros of a competeing offer. Perhaps the RBS-70 NG from SAAB fits the IA's requirements better than hence will be selected in favour of the Mistral based option.

We dont need imported weapons we need indigenous weapons

Impact of guided over unguided rockets are huge in artillery ,

Atleast almost here too...

Even unguided rockets are aimed and fired I guess, but numbers rockets that are carried can take out less targets .

In case of guided rockets , it's almost similar to mini guided bomb..

Less numbers of rocket can take large number of targets in a single flight.

Of course indigenous rockets are always welcome.
