Haj subsidy for 1.25 lakh pilgrims in India

Small amount!? Do you even know in rupees how much it comes to? And what about minorities in Dharmic faiths? Ain't I a minority by definition of the "Constitution" (I'd never consider but by definition that is)? Here's an old law; when you write a constitution, it is either for everybody or nobody.

This government is shyte biased against others and favors only selectively. It is the most communally divisive government in the history of this country. And don't tell me the "bringing them to equality" nonsense. I am myself not a mainstream Hindu.



Yeah? Subsidies are usually given to those who cannot afford. Now surely they're not telling me that all Hindus, Sikhs, Buddhists etc are rich in India are they? This is dirty politics by our government. Accept it.



Or any other Dharmic sects like us Buddhists or Sikhs.

Kailash Manasarovar Yatra is being organized by the Government of India, Ministry of External Affairs starting end May/early June to September . The pilgrimage or 'Yatra' is open to all Indian citizens above18 years of age who wish to proceed to Kailash and Manasarovar for religious purposes.

Kailash-Manasarovar is to be arranged because of a strategic disaster made in 50s and 60s. Otherwise, things would have been easier.

And do me a favor; wake me up when the arrangements come to practicality from papers yea? Because I am seriously hoping for a trip.

I don't think Kailash Manosarovar Yatra is free. As for Amarnath Yatra its expensive due to security risks from militants which is totally outside the power of a normal devotee.

Pls also remember that the biggest terrorism operations in India are also conducted by Muslims. India may be spending more on keeping tab on Muslim terrorist organizations than what is spent on Haj Subsidy. So there goes the 'good will' down the drain. Going to Haj may be the biggest event in a Muslim's life but its not the job of the Indian Govt to send them there. This is minority appeasement, clear & simple.As a Hindu I want to visit all the important Hindu pilgrimage centers in India with a visit to Ankor Wat thrown in between. There is no greater joy for Christians than to visit Bethlehem & Jerusalem, so on so forth. Why not Govt funds these?

The money spent on Haj Subsidy could have been better spent on providing services to Muslim Community, but that will not bring any big votes from the community.

I can see how much respect you have for your fellow Indian citizens. The last time I checked, the biggest & the most frequent terrorism operations were from the Maoists, & they weren't Muslims but (mostly) Hindus. I know the Maoists don't claim they are acting in the name of Hinduism, but nevertheless, they aren't Muslims. The Muslims who commit terrorism don't act in the name of Islam either. Maybe you should show a little bit of respect for your fellow Indian citizens.

Sorry I am not some pseudo secularist to not see or say the truth that some terrorism indeed has religious background and its biggest proponents are Muslims. Maoists are terrorists but don't blaste bombs inside a market place or gun down people at random which is the trademark of Jehadis. Most of their attacks was and is towards security forces and also for your kind information as per their ideology Maoists have no religion. They don't shout 'Har Har Mahadev' before blasting or shootingwhile Jehadis claim everything in the name of Allah.

We should not forget the huge NRI remittances we get from GULF. Government cant give jobs to them. Remember in 80s and 90s we use to have huge naxal issues in southern states. Now all this youth are empolyed in Gulf and sending money to india. So if sending their parents to Haj is what they want we should give that.

Hajj according to Islamic laws itself means that this is a pilgrimage one has to undertake on PERSONAL expenses. This means that this discriminative government is actually making Muslims break their first law. The expats that work in Gulf are paid in exchange for the hours of slogging they do. Work produced= money earned. Its not being given for free that we "should" do. Fair deal.

While we can be friendly to Arabs, Haj subsidies is an INTERNAL matter and discriminative to other communities. In fact, many common Muslims are against it themselves. So basically this is a typical secularist agenda to keep communal and divisive politics alive by favoring one group and not all equally.

I've seen peoples selling their agricultural lands just to go to haz.
