economic policy( includes tax, trade pacts) lot ground work to be done.. you need foreign loans and investment for economic growth at the same time you should not accept every clause to get these loans/ investment- unless they serve your purpose and meet your economic interests..

Pakistan should have negotiated CPEC properly with china. What did you gain? They bring their men, material, capital and took everything back. You have a road on your soil for which you have to pay and not only that but your vehicles will also have pay tax. What is your gain? Inspite, if you had invited open bid you would have hot a much better deal. China needed this road for strategic purpose and you guys should have done a hard bargaining. You should have made them to agree to your own conditions rather than you agree to their terms. I think you guys missed an opportunity which has a very cost to pay.

DMIC is different. It's an internal corridor between Mumbai and Delhi. The stakeholders will remain Indian entities.

Indian Government is not guaranteeing rate of returns.. FDI is a investment that might get some return for investor. GOI has not got any role more than ensuring investment environment.

Whereas in Pakistan case GOP is providing guarantee for rate of return as high as 17% to 34% and taking loans on very high interest rates of 8% whereas the world over the Government takes loans at less than 2%.

You mean to say that Chinese will have assured returns of 17-34 % and over that they will also be getting interest on that SUM.
Chinese are literally very intelligent people then, as all the major contracts also awarded to Chinese firms hence the money spent whatever they are calling returns back to China with a whopping 17-34 % return (China deserves a pat on the back).

That is a general rule of thumb. As far as those voices in Pakistan that are howling at CPEC, well, somebody has to defend the Western position. It's just noise. Can CPEC be stopped now? Nope.
