Shibli Faraz has confirmed that IK was not happy with Hafeez Sheikh's performance and he has been asked to resign.

Real reason is what Shibli spilled. Maybe IK didn't want that to be disclosed and maybe he did and being unhappy with Shibli is a mere stunt.

Hafeez Sheikh wanted solo control and he damaged the reform in FBR too by forcing out Shabbar. Shabbar is very close to IK and he was the perfect guy for FBR with deep inside knowledge of how companies dodge taxes etc.

IK played the game well by nominating HS for senator in Parliament instead of any an easy win seat in KPK. He knew Zardari would flood money for Gillani win and he let that roll.

Let's see what IMF does next.

Why not solve the problem in a better way? Just rename the post of Wazir-e-Khazana as the Wazir-e-Qarza. Factually correct, since there is no khazana, to boot!
