FN FIVE-SEVEN

Caliber: 5.7x28mm

Typical Use: Military, Police, Self Defense

The FN57 is a polymer-framed weapon of concealed hammer construction. It weighs 1.36 pounds (22ounces) with loaded weight of 27 ounces. Though the FN is long through the grip, it is not thick and is comfortable to hold.it come in two versions DAO-Style, on which you must pull the trigger through a long arc to fire, and the tactical version, on which the trigger works through a much shorter arc. There is no jolt at the end so the pull is better than most of today auto loaders. The DAO model lacks a safety .the tactical model has a safety located immediately above he trigger.it is awkwardly placed and difficult to remove or apply with any certain and speed. It’s best to ignore it and keep your finger off the trigger until ready to fire. The sights are nicely shaped and offer and good sight picture. They came with a night sight and standard three-dot sights. Fixed and adjustable sights are available .the plastic magazine has double feed lips ,not a double column going to a single-feed system, so they are quite easy to load. The pistol lacks a magazine safety .a variety of ammo are available ,which yield excellent penetration on armored subjects and still give fine stopping power on a non-armored target. The FN ability to use these varieties of ammo with their excellent performance makes it a star.

FNP.45

Caliber:.45 ACP

Typical Use: Military, Police, Self Defense

When The special Operations Command (SOCOM) of the US army announced it wanted a new issue pistol, many manufacturers were interested .it was fabrique Nationale who developed the FNP .45.Due to SOCOM’s requirement, this is fine, reliable military weapon, but less effective as a civilian defense or police handgun. The pistol is big. The slide is thick and the butt is wide so it can accept the .45 ACP cartridges in a twelve-or-more shot capacity. The grip panels are replaceable to allow for bigger or smaller hands. They are checkered, which is hard to bare hands but fine if wearing gloves. the weapon is a selective DA/SA style but the safety lever (Located on both sides) is thin, Making it hard to disengage rapidly. The DA pull is heavy and long, and SA pull has alot of over travel to it. Sights are nice and visible, and certain models can be equipped with an optical red dot sight. Accuracy is acceptable and, due to the size and weight, felt recoil is low.

FN P90
Caliber:5.7x28mm
Typical Use:Military and Self Defense

Fabrique Nationale developed the FN P90, then promoted it as a military weapon for those who didn't want a rifle, but needed a weapon they could shoot from the shoulder. The P90 can easily be shot off either shoulder.the top-mounted magazine is difficult to replace quickly , so the fifty-Shot capacity is smart.the safety is conveniently located.you must not push down on it as you slide it into the fore position or it will bind.your non-shooting hand goes through the trigger guard with your thumb wrapping around it to make certain your hand does not migrate in front of the muzzle.recoil is very light.fast semi-fire is easy, as are good bursts.the standard ammo offers a penetration so that the bullets penetrate ballistics vests and helmets commonly used today.Good tracer rounds exist, as well as subsonic rounds to be used with suppressor.you must be careful when you select optical sights if the are too big, the weapon is awkward.A small Dot-sight like RMR allows you to use it on man size targets at two hundred yards and makes for a nimble package on close-range targets

FNC
Caliber:5.56x45mm
Typical Use:Military and Police

When the United States convinced its NATO allies to use the 5.56x45mm cartridge as the new standard, weapons were needed for it.The FNC became the new Belgian service rifle.the rifle has involved muzzle-breaking flash hider and grenade launcher combination. The sights are a typical cylindrical post which adjusts tor elevation by screw threads.the front and rear sight are protected by wings. The rear sight is adjustable for windage only.it has two peeps for 250 and 400 meters.the bolt handle is on the right side and curves upward;you can easily cock it with either hand. The FNC dust cover is attached to a spring. As the bolt travels to the rear, the cover flips down, allowing the bolt to clear it; As the bolt goes forward, the cover returns to its original position. This help protect the weapon from dust and water. The FNC uses M16 magazine which is widely available .the magazine realize is setup for rioght hand shooters but can release it with left hand by wrapping your fingers around the front of the magazine.
The selector/safety and pistol grip are similar to FAL.Trigger pull on the FNC is spongy and has creep and over travel. The rifle has a three shot burst system. The FNC comes with a fixed fiberglass stock.stock is a tube like and comfortable on the cheek because of the low recoil energy of the caliber. The lock on the stock is excessively involved.you must push the button in and push down on the stock while you swing it open.doing these things simultaneously is difficult and you tend to pinch your fingers.the forearm of the FNC is better protected from heat then many and not as bulky as others.you can grasp it easily, and even one hundred rounds fired rapidly will not get it too hot.It does not cover the gas tube.if you grasp the weapon around the top, gas tube will burn you.the FNC is a well made, reliable weapon, as easy to use as as AR15 or M16A2 rifle

My personal favourite is the P90. I quite wish we didn't have such strict gun laws in the UK but when you see what is happening in America and France, i'd rather be safe than be free to fire a gun.

FN FS 2000
Caliber:5.56x45mm

Bullpup rifles give you full-length barrel while retaining a short overall length. The Drawbacks are a trigger which, due to linkage,is not very crisp, magazines which are hard to change, and the fact that you cant fire if off your left shoulder. The FN FS 2000 resolve this last issue.Empties are pushed to centrally-located tube, and once five have been fired they are pushed out the front at the shooter's feet. Thus, the shooter can use the weapon either shoulder without restriction are having to hold the weapon in some odd way.Trigger pull on FN FS 2000 is not great.Changing the magazine is slow and hardly instinctive.the weapon is fairly short but not especially light. The compact size is not a big enough plus to overcome the other negatives , but if you want a bullpup-Type rifle ,this is clearly superior to others available ,such as the FAMAS, AUG and L85A1

SCAR 16/17
Caliber: 7.62x81, 5.56x56mm

When the US military announced it was considering replacing the colt M4 rifle, manufacturers saaw an opportunity to make big bucks and prepared a number of alternatives to meet the military's criteria.FN submitted SCAR rifle. It is a reliable weapon with many good features. The SCAR comes with two cartridges ( 5.56x45mm and 7.62x57 NATO) and many barrel lengths. The rifle can alternate chamberings so one receiver can be used with either 5.56 or 7.62 parts. Accuracy is not match-grade due to the poor trigger pull rather than to an inherent design flaw. The pull is heavy, gritty and has much over travel.
The safety is well located, although the lever is short and difficult to flip with the thumb without breaking your grip. The Rifle has rails at on all sides which makes mounting optics easy.you may want to add pistol grip in summer to the bottom forward rail, as firing several quick magazines will the make the weapon too hot to hold. The fold down front and back sights are excellent.the sliding butt stock allows the reach to be greatly adjusted. The cheek comb rest allows you to place your head on exactly the same position to use your optical sights so a proper cheek weld can be maintained. Sling swivel are conveniently located. The bolt handle can be shifted from one side to the other and it is also big and strong enough so you can kick it with your boot to open the bolt if needed..
