well I have known police stations having a jeep run 2,00,000+ kms and they havent chase the offenders as offenders have scorpio like SUVs. SUVs run on 120+, where as police jeep cant go beyond 60 to 70. moreover lack of staff, lack of facilities and lack of salary is also a question. the fixed rated employees getting 4500 to more rupees. PSI earns Rs. 10000/- fixed per month. and Gov. is talking about this? Police needs many changes with latest equipments and permission to use weapons like pistol is whenever it is necessary. UAV is getting 55 lakhs and police just 10,000/-. Value the Humans and not the machines.
