All the sub-components have been successfully tested . One full engine has been assembled and will go to testing in coming months . Will take 2-3 years for full testing .

To test both the solid boosters and liquid stage as well as our crew module .
What is the LEO capacity of GSLV Mk3 without the Cryo stage?

It will happen in December, i think...
The problem with ISRO is, it has limited number of launch pads. We can only do 3-4 launches each year, whereas China does 15-16 launches every year.

Can any 1 tell, how many launch pads does China use?

A 10,000 kg LEO capacity is quite awesome. Mk-4 would have around 15,000 kg or more.

By assembling I mean they have assembled solid boosters and liquid stage . Also cryogenic stage is dummy .

Only payload is needed .

Don't think there is a MK4 ...... After Mk3 they are planning ULV .

Heaviest variant of ULV has 15000kg to LEO capacity .

Congrats to ISRO, they are progressing at breakneck speed! Could anyone enlighten me how a private company like SpaceX can produce their own rocket systems, that too in the category of GSLVs? Did they develop these technology privately or full TOT from NASA?

Yup, But there will be MK-4 version with 4 boosters which bring the payload capacity to 15k to LEO and 6-8k to GTO.

Adding two more boosters will only have a small increase in the payload .

To increase the payload 1.5 times as you said , the subsequent stages will also need to be beefed up .

Doesn't work like that. Else, it would be as simple as adding boosters and sending more payload.

You mean in 1 year they will complete the entire testing including high altitude tests , vacuum chamber tests , etc .

ISRO has earlier said the first full LV test will take place around 2017-18 .
