The Greek foreign ministry on Wednesday said that Greece welcomes the international alliance against ISIS, in which it participates politically, through the provision of humanitarian aid and on a military level - following a relevant recommendation of the Ministry of Defence and, more specifically, the National Defence General Staff – through the sending of ammunition to Kurdish forces.

If they send it to PYD in Syria q it will certainly come in the hands of PKK. I don't know if there is an airport there. The only way for goods to get there is air.

If they send it to KRG in Iraq. It is not that certain. KRG sees PKK as reival for leadership but recently they have been fighting hand in hand with them against ISIS.

Imho pyd shouldn't get support from anybody and even KRG doesn't help them because we are against them. It is infested with pkk at the momment. Let them be their graveyard.

PYD have been identified as an extension of PKK. So, we won't let them if they have intentions to arm PYD.

To put aside useless Greek ammo. I saw pictures of PYD having German anti-tank weapons. They say it was transfered to them through Turkish soil with Turkish permission. Why the **** did they let this happen, those weapons will be used against TSK one day, maybe they gave small amounts so they use it and get out of stock quickly. I hope they know what they are doing in the Turkish government.

That's correct. With the agreement of the Iraqi govt.

There is no agreement with Assad in arming the PYD or any Kurdish group acting in Syria.

The ammunition is used in AK-47 rifles that are not being used by the Greek army and have being confiscated. Which means that this operation will have no cost whatsoever to Greece because the ammunition were of no use in the first place.
