GRAVEYARD INC: Business of Death in Karachi

No respect for the living, none for the dead. Smashing the graves of others, privatizing public land, mafias running cemeteries and auctioning already occupied graves, military misusing public resources; as I mentioned in another thread, Pakistan is just a real estate business. The spirit which animated its founding generation died a long time ago. It's a miracle that the once "Western" wing has still managed to remain intact despite the utmost attempts of its own people to tear it apart.

One of my good friends deceased distant maternal relatives grave was found vandalized in Lahore and the remains were missing, and this years after the burial.

Our cities are a real mess.
Pakistan is just a real estate business.
Indeed.

Property tycoons sprout like mushrooms. Most rich people around you will be property dealers.

No tech, no industry, just real estate.
