The reality is in order for a city to be healthy its residents need to work for private businesses...not Government jobs.

Somehow they think this is logical:

Let's cut the police budget, raise the minimum theft needed for prosecution to > $1000, give out more welfare money, and hire locals for $40,000 government jobs, and through taxes we can get back $3000 to help pay for their salaries.

Logical person: What about the other $37,000 for their salaries?
