‘Govt will not interfere in contract, cost’ of MMRCA deal : A.K. Antony
Defence minister A.K. Antony on Wednesday said the government would “not interfere” in the due process being followed as part of the contract and cost (C&C) negotiations in the proposed multi-billion mega deal for 126 “Rafale” Medium Multi-role Combat Aircraft (MMRCA) that India proposes to ink with French firm Dassault.
Mr Antony also said the government would not set any deadline for any acquisition and said due procedures would be followed in case of all proposed defence deals to ensure transparency. He added the armed forces had “got a lot of” modern equipment in the past few years.
