Govt Crackdown on the Islamabad protesters | Updates & Discussions

that will be a miracle. PML-N must be feeling as if they have won and there is little benefit in agreeing to (practically) any of the demands. Precedent suggests that an iron rod must have replaced their necks by now.

TBH they have decided to re-open negotiations. If N startes attacking PTI now then they will only makes things worse as negotiations will break down and MQM will enter the fray. N needs to make sure PTI and PAT are gone before MQM enters the protest as well and to do that they cant give victory parties before they see the back of the protest leaving islamabad,

agreed. but have you said all that after considering PMLN's past behaviour? look at PM leaving the house and then returning when PTI ppl left. Is there any sign of engaging these ppl constructively?

Now it seems PTI has retreated from PM resignation demand. I personally see it as a good development.

Sherpao is also more loyal than the king.

PTI should not have demanded the resignation to begin with, and should have stuck to its election reforms agenda.

Saddening that no one but IK himself brought government on driving seat. I think a minimum acceptable deal will be cinched, it won't be that easy for PMNL to get away from this situation.

Well i have said that N has acted very immaturely in this entire event however handling just MQM will be much easier than handling PTI/PAT/MQM all together with two main cities blocked for N. TBH i dont have much hopes for them to pursue negotiations vigorously. this is the time to finally end the issue and not to show attitude and victory signs,

Oh God diesel is on.

The thing is PTI must show strong back bone and show that if they arent willing to accept reasonable demands then they will not leave. With MQM also coming in the game pressure will be on N to put an end to it. PTI must make sure they get good forward points agreed upon.

PTI shouldn't have stuck to this demand.... Nothing wrong if the purpose was to exert pressure.

PTI had the moral authority to exert this pressure the correct way in the beginning, but they lost it with this illegal demand.

Now tht MQM has given ultimatum and threat to resign... Lets see how all this...turns out... It will give more boost to PTI/ PAT

This would do the job now..

I think he lost focus. His strongest and most effective demand was not PM resignation but electoral reforms that would have been very beneficiary for PTI and for the future elections of Pakistan. His focus should have been much more on that and those reforms should have been harsher to create stricter elections in the future.

Wait a min.... You would argue that the demand of resignation was absolutely legal!

diesel is talking about their resignations again and trying to force the speaker to accept PTI resignations. He thinks they had no right to speak in the house. Some of the other members including NS are giggling and thumping table.
These guys are very spiteful and trying to make them suffer. Sad state of affairs when MNA's resort to such low life tactics.

A joke of a democracy where these idiots aren't even prepared to listen to fellow MNA's. What chance does the public have?

It would have been legal if it were made on the floor of the Parliament and put up for a vote, yes, not out on the street.

Absolutely! I have argued this too many time... He missed his actual agenda.
