ISLAMABAD: The government on Tuesday has announced a trivial reduction in prices of petroleum products and CNG, after a country wide denunciation of price hike announced on April 1, DawnNews reported.

It is decided to reduce Rs 2.32 per liter on petrol, Rs 1.16 on high speed diesel and Rs 1.74 on Kerosene oil.

The government has also decided a 25 per cent reduction on CNG prices.

According to Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) the new prices will be implementable from Wednesday.

Government has old strategy of raising 6 rupees in petrol price and then lowering down the price by 3 rupees saying they care for people and now they have reduced the prices. People calm down and government carry on making money

They are charging 30 rupees per liter in taxes... imagine if they had reduced to 15 rupees only... The life of people must have been eased but they don't have any methods to improve the tax structure so they impose indirect taxes on the poor public. If they had raised the tax ratio from 9% to 15% they didn't have to impose indirect taxes on everything
