Why bother made an oath in the first place if it's impossible?.. Indonesian-Chinese willingly made that oath together without anyone forcing them. Other ethnic in Indonesia can put their national identity first over ethnic why chinese ethnic demand special treatment when they want to be regarded as equal to others at the same time?

Ethnics in Indonesia are still converse with their ethnic language in daily life, including chinese, no ban on that. However Indonesian language must never be replace in formal situation by ethnic language. It is our language of unity.

The so called forcing the name change is half true. Indonesian - Chinese have Indonesian name to assimilate better. Why else then Chinese in the west have western name?.. And many Indonesian-Chinese retain their Chinese name so no problem. The Arabs also changed their name to more Indonesia sounded.

Our former Coordinating Minister of Economic and a prominent politician is Kwik Kian Gie. He has no Indonesian name. Still he is a living respected figure here.

Both Indonesia and PRC do not recognize dual nationality.

In 1954, Indonesia and China ratified a treaty stating that resident Chinese with dual nationality must choose one citizenship or the other by December 1962. The law required all Chinese Indonesians to choose between Chinese and Indonesian citizenship. Those who chose China return to China and those who chose to stay in Indonesia became Indonesia citizen.

Later, at Asia - Africa conference in Bandung 1955, Sukarno and Zhou Enlai signed a declaration stating that oversea Chinese as Indonesian citizen owed their primary loyalty to Indonesia not China/PRC. Indonesian Chinese have no connection with mainland anymore and they're not PRC responsibility.
The matter has been settled long ago.

Dayak versus Madura is the worst ones, since Dayak is still like a primitive one ( especially the tribes living in deep of the jungle).

Also Ambon civil war (Christian vs Muslim)

On the left foto is Ambonese, well you dont know what happened there, I dont want to bring hate between our own people here. There are Republik Maluku Selatan (old rebel) that initiated all this, attacking Muslim and then revenge comes. Two sides were attacking each other since the composition are balance there. The leader (RMS) quite surprisingly is in USA now, under USA protection. That was happening at Bush time. There was USA destroyer near Ambon during that time.
