Government and TLP reach agreement to end countrywide protests

yar it is very important to control the situation...external agencies have got involved. Govt need to understand... IK's speech was totally wrong.. but good that finally the sanity has prevailed. IK should not become a part of the game this CJ is playing against Pakistan... the old attention seeking whore is at no good.
Sometime agencies send message from backdoor and ask them " it's enough".

.
Oh come on man? The way you talk is as if this is UK we are talking about where the army numbers 100k men and the police forces exceed 160k men. The budget for the police is massive and even has huge helicopter fleet that could match Pakistan Army in numbers.

PA eats a huge % of budget. Like it or not PA has [ruled PK for half it's timeline] and continues to exert huge influence. To face off any major threat PA would have to be called up. In UK the army is rarely called up because vcivil arms are sufficiently resourced. However even in UK when a trouble starts reaching red lines the army is deployed. In the troubles we had in Northern Ireland the British Army was on patrol every day reinforcing the regular police for over 50 years until 1998. The way you guys talk is as if the army is some separate entity from Mars. Rminder: It is part of the state like other organs.

On technical grounds I am correct. The way you are putting it is something also correct so what is the problem. Ask the army or improve the police force?

Army is not going to open fire on Pakistanis and those on the streets are also Pakistanis and the best solution was to struck a deal and end the issue. If govt struck the deal then it is bravo and job well done from my side to govt.

We can blame the army but who started this protest culture? It was a result of PMLN against Musharraf that is where it all began and then every one used it them selves.

People here are criticising the deal if the deal has happened and protests have ended then it has further strength my confidence in PTI's political leadership and I must appreciate them.

So as a concerned Pakistani citizen i've learned a few things after all of this:

1. Rizwi and fazl-ur-rehman and their followers need to be killed immediately as they are a huge threat and a danger to the country.

Yes and NOW

.
The case indicates that two muslim women started offending her and she did in return. As per Islamic wisdom and perspective; both the groups should be equally punished. We recite last verses of surah baqra everyday:

al-baqarah-ayaat-285-286.jpg

This issue would have been easily resolved.Offer reconciliation between two groups or announce such punishment; then see how the crowd will be reduced from 1000s to tens.Practise real Islam then there wouldn't be any such case in the future.Announce 5 year punishment to both group of women and see what happens.

I personally was not against the verdict but the timing. CJP should have taken the govt into confidence. It could have been delayed a few months after all it had been going for 6-7 years. Let IK stabilise the economy and get control of the govt. CJP is taking suo motos on daily basis... all against the govt and I really don't know who is the IG of police in Punjab and center... so much trouble... and external agencies jumped into to take an advantage of the situation... I was really scared to death..for the first time ...because I know the situation on the ground. Here people try to be-little but it was in most of the country. ..and you are busy at Afghan border and then we have an erstwhile enemy on our eastern border...always ready to take an advantage... no problem in dealing with the lesser evils for a greater good.

.
Don't worry, he is going anywhere. Do you maulana Sami-ullah got killed.. RAW and NDS have taken the advantage. BTW here is the agreement but it is in Urdu

Once the agreement sign , then govt has enough power to drag them for years. From Tahir ul Qaderi or previous Khadem Hussain dharna never produce any result in there favor. Govt has zillions of excuse not to execute them .

. . .
Never going to happen, the state doesn't have the balls to do it. They're not WASPs.
Actually that mechanical iron fist narrative is not just WASP [UK, USA, Canada etc] but is applicable to others -

Germans
French
Russians
Japanese
Chinese
Turks

Note all are successful states that had history of conquest and empire making. In the muslim world only Turkey displays this character. Ask any of the Turks what would Jandarma do to anybody pissing like Rizvi et al .....

the government has bought time but it wont end the problem.

I think this is perhaps the most potent analysis...

I would say the following with it.

The government hasn't conceded any ground from their initial stand. They repeatedly wanted to solve this without violence and without having to concede ground like resignations e.t.c. it is a positive. The review petition was already filed and its the right of the complainant to file it and during such proceedings a person can't be allowed to leave. Normally here is how review work. You have a preliminary hearing where you highlight what is the wrong in the judgment after which in 99% cases the review is thrown aside bcz a serious oversight of fact or law is required to convince the very judge that has made the decision ( the hearing review bench is the same is the same as the one in order).. If accepted then the case is reopened and hearings and arguments are heard on that overlooked fact or law.

The thing is that as you said its a time buyer. For now they have been removed from the streets but this is temporary bcz come the next decision they will be back. The time bought has not solved the issue however this time bought must not be and serious effort should be placed to take them down slowly and surely and precisely.

A strong hand action can only be given by a govt secure in its power, unity and public. The current govt and the last one were neither and this is where @Indus Pakistan highlights the point very correctly as to why the govt irrespective of their strength and position in parliament keep bowing down to any religious group protesting... Its bcz they have no faith in the opposition nor in the state organs nor in the public. lal masjid is perhaps it's greatest example and it to this day plays in the mind of our rulers.

All in all. The result of this truce can only he found in how the govt avails the time provided in this delaying tactics.

One thing is for sure. Complacency cannot be tolerated this time. The country be shut down through systemic protests by a few hundreds in a city across Pakistan. It simply can't. This must end and the govt must look into this matter. Today they apologize for their harsh words against state and its organs. Tomorrow they may go further and further... .

For once let's not be reactionary and be proactive..

Sigh... Well atleast the rubbish ends.. Haha I said the same thing in 2017. Deja vu.

This is exactly I was told in PMLn government. Episode 2 was supposed to be different. Because episode 1 made them have another episode.
failure of episode 2 will lead to episode 3. And it will continue...

But that was PMLN who as usefull as toilet paper made out of rusty nails

Lets try to give a competent government time to bolster the state before we ask for it to cry havoc and let rip the dogs of war

So we should wait for another episode to clean it up?

Law does not bow down to people or government you dumbknuckle.

Judge did the right thing. All of you deshatgard need to understand that its not all about how you interpret the religion. Even if Asia bibi said all those things she's accused of...Your deen is so weak that you let it cloud your judgement? Sounds like you're not a muslim at all. Just a butt hurt toddler throwing a tantrum.

1/3 of our flag is white for a reason!!!
Yeah good job... I will ask them to check your geolocation and let me know.. you won't be allowed to abuse the state of Pakistan

@Horus @Oscar

This guy has been making such comments regarding everyone he doesn't agree with in the past 2 days, is this acceptable on the forum?

So as a concerned Pakistani citizen i've learned a few things after all of this:

1. Rizwi and fazl-ur-rehman and their followers need to be killed immediately as they are a huge threat and a danger to the country.

I will help you with this list:

  • Destroy TLP leadership
  • Destroy Lal Masjid and its leadership
  • Remove JUI and JI from politics
  • Ban politics of religion
  • Reform madrassahs - make them an after school extra curricular activity not a full time education pathway.
  • Reform Islamic education in schools
  • Deport all Afghan refugees

.
I am so sick of comparison of two different countries.

Have you ever seen a Khadim Rizvi threatening the institutions?
Coming out in streets against a case and destroy the cities?
We have to compare...….. And USA in 60s was more worse then Pak now...…. and very recently people destroyed cities in USA ……
And on Molvi Part...….. I don't think it will end here...… He crossed some dark red lines..... But also remember IK ,NS , Zordari , Fazlo , Altaf ….. all of them crossed line at some point too...
Only situation is cooling down...…. I feel pain in molvis right after IK speech …… Have you not notice how so called political parties come out in molvi favor ……. Have you not listen Meter reader turn billionaire Khursheed shaha… Molvi diesel …….
And dear sis remember IK in China,,,,,,, next stage of CPEC...… Enemies of Pakistan are fully activated ,,,,,, some using 1000s of twitter and facbook ids some on this forum
