Rohingyas should have been allowed. We allowed them twice before which didn't cause much problem. We forced fellow muslims to death trap. As a muslim I simply can't accept that and feel really ashamed.

There is no money for fast modernization. The navy has been modernized though but the construction of the patrol boats with chinese help can be attributed to the 2003 sino-BD defence deal. It caused a $hit storm across the border.

Luffy bhai,on the matter of rohingas: its not easy to make such decisions based on religion only.as a country to be strong and united we need to make some hard choices ,this is one such.look what happened the left over PK desendant s in BD.NA PARI GILTE,NA PARI FELTE.They are also Muslim.but that does not justify their living and segregation with our ppl.they are still our nations burden. And if allowed sasme will happen with the rohingas.

of course the resserve grew due to lack of investments, in capitalism you have to keep the money rolling, its a bad thing.

Give any example where gov is holding the investment. Country's export has increased thats why reserve is increasing.
Country like USA, KSA has a huge reserve than us. Tell them thats a bad thing.
BD lost a huge reserve at first of the AL regime. U said thats a bad thing now it has increased. Still u r saying its a bad thing.

Giving them refuge was obligatory for muslims but we don't have muslims ruling us. There is simply no justification on pushing them to death trap. It was equal to killing them. Infact as per Intl law it was our duty to give them refuge on humanitarian grounds. We are not talking about citizenship but refugee status. Now U can say they will be living here, but U see that's only beacuse we are weak and can not force mayanmar which doesn't justify us pushing them to death. How many are they? 1 million at best. We already have 300K-800K living here in a country of 160 million whose greatest threat is political goons with chapatti and awami dalal scums not some refugees.
As for biharis, well I believe those who want to leave should be allowed to leave and those who want to stay should be given citizenship. In fact there was a supreme court ruling saying something like that. They can not be termed refugees anymore. It will take time for them to fully integrate with the society but for that reason we can not push them back.

At least we agree on one point,we are not strong as a country. So there is no guarantee if and when Mianmar do decide to stop ethnic cleansing thy will take back the rohingas.by that time thousands of rohinga will get born and we will be in same position like PKs.And if you know about Bhutan s ethnic cleansing then we will get stuck with another million or two hungry mouth, which by no means we are ready to deal.and yes by law we did give shelter to thousands of them without any foreign help.we are not rich.there is limit.in turn these refugees making a bad name in disguise of BD ppl outside world.

Lets agree to disagree here. Whatever may be the case it still doesn't justify pushing them to death trap. They were killed there while they begged for help and wanted some shelter to us. Again 1 million out of 160 million is .00625%. We should believe in Allah (swt) and do what is right. They are in Indoneshia, Malaysia and PAK as well with many getting permanent shelter in AUS and malaysia. They have been totally cleansed from mayanmar and will soon be reduced to a tiny diaspora scattered throughout the world. We have a duty both religiously and internationally to give them refuge and at the same time work with Mayanmar diplomatically. If we were stronger and bolder burmese monkey's wouldn't have dared to oppress them , since we are not then lets try to do the least we can. That's my opinion. :)
