According to the "Independent Military Review", referring to the site of the Russian government, Russia plans to place in Cuba equipment of correction and monitoring domestic navigation system GLONASS.
Corresponding bill entitled "On Ratification of the Agreement between the Russian government and the Cuban Government on cooperation in the exploration and use of outer space for peaceful purposes", submitted by Roskosmos and the Russian Foreign Ministry, received approval of the government commission on legislative activities.
Earlier, Russian media reported that a similar plan to place equipment on the territory of Iran. Iranian authorities have confirmed their willingness to establish Station Differential Correction and Monitoring (SDCM) and quantum-optical system on its territory. This will increase the accuracy of the system.
In 2012, voiced plans to sign contracts for placement SDCM on the territory of 34 partner countries. Among them, India, Ukraine, Australia, Israel and others.
Currently, GLONASS uses four SDCM placed outside the Russian Federation. One of them is in Brazil, three - in Antarctica. May 10th representatives of the Russian Federation reported on the approval of draft laws ratification of agreements with Vietnam and Nicaragua.
