Ever since the 1980s and 1990s we been hearing about the rise of Globalization that one day all borders will render extinct, the world would be grouped into inter-regional blocks, goods would have easy access to all markets, and mass immigration of all people now since the 2010s we are seeing a pushback in Europe with the rise of Right wing factions, America with Trump, In Asia populism and nationalism have also boomed as well so do you guys still believe in globalization or for nationalism thoughts??

Nationalism always. Globalisation that can co-exist with a basic civic nationalism of a people is fine by me...its when the former encroaches the latter, we got a problem. The problem with globalism is it is not satisfied with just the natural equilibrium, it always wants to keep shifting/expanding....so it will have to be cut back to the relevant size by the blowback of it being somewhat unfettered for a good few decades now.

E.U changing from previous simple trade bloc/customs union to a legislative supra-authority (that people cannot even directly vote for) thanks to there being no appropriate timeframe-testing of things like a common currency/common court system etc across nationalities....is a good example. The fraying (from real social brittleness over assumed/claimed elasticity) will come inevitably when you introduce something at such impulse. This is what the posturing emotional elite will never understand....and they simply claim the massres are irrational and emotional when they question what they broadly see happening on the ground (where the elite do not and NEVER live and exist in). They will have to learn things the hard way again....it comes down to insulated egos again.

All thanks to ((Multiculturalism)) and ((Guilt Trip)) mentality

Multipolar world and regionalism is better than the Global complex being pushed right now I to be honest kinda wished at times the USSR did not leave yes it was crap and the evil communism bought to Russians, Caucausians, Central Asians, Eastern Europeans and their constant prop up of dicatorships from Latin America to Africa and Asia but the Cold War did prevent a lot the constant "modern western crap culture" from being exported all over the world starting after 1991 you had the rise of sat and cable tv all over then the internet came and pushed further crap to younger folks I do believe in borders and limited forms of immigration
The problem with USSR was that in a sense it was a catalyst for this modern degeneracy as well. It was built on Communism which is like building a house on a foundation made from fine sand. In the long term it is not sustainable. Not to mention Communists assaulted all traditional social structures like family, marriage, personal property, religion. They sought to remake man in the image of Marx's contorted and not to mention contradictory theories and worldview.

Communism is, simply put, a retarded socioeconomic system. Its allure is the false promise of establishing heaven on earth. Soviet Union was built and sustained by Western capitalists for quite some time.

USSR never had LGBTQ crap but I agree it was a start

Globalisation (to a certain extent). We're all human beings and we all come from a common origin.

In all seriousness, I find it funny that people can take pride in things such as ethnicity when they have no control over this sort of stuff. It's pretty much just a genetic accident. It's like saying you're proud to be a ginger, it's so dumb.

Pride should be restricted to things you yourself have actually done.

Economic globalization yes(the only yes),losing national identity never.
The EU is the best example of globalization not working,Brussels(EU Capitol) decides almost everything, small countries have no say.
The main reason for Brexit is the Franco-German power block(dictator of the EU),the UK has no say.
Which also is one of if not the main reason why Turkish membership is blocked because the TR/UK axis win over the FR/Ger axis which would give the power of dictatorship to TR/UK.
Im for limited immigration,Europe is full, reached the limit.

I guess these 2 things are happening in a parallel way in the world: globalization in production and economy and nationalism in politics.

First, we have seen an increasingly globalized production system with a finer division of industrial production over the last few decade and we have seen an acceleration of the development. And international trade has pushed the nations into a more specialized area of the production and becomes part of the global production eco-system. Nations have to focus on certain areas or types of industry to enhance their competitiveness. Also trading policy among the nations become more liberalized, featured by low tariff and more accommodating policies. Financial market has seen similar development in many part of the world. It should be stressed that this does not happen by choice, it is a natural consequence of production development, just like division of labor. The nations do not follow this trend will be marginalized and lose competitiveness in the international market.

On the other hand, nationalism has been norm in the current world and in effect has become more dominant in the politics for many nations (populism is probably just a reflection of this sentiment). Against the backdrop of growing economical cooperation and integration, nations are quite wary of their sovereignty and how certain multilateral trade agreements can compromise their authority even within their jurisdiction.

Unity for the Muslim world and nationalism for the state of Madina of Prophet Muhammad saws is all I care about.

This is the struggle we have been fighting for all this time since his death. One government and one nation for the Ummah.

In this way, Pakistan is a very important first step. The ideology of an Islamic republic will in Sha Allah give birth to a larger Khilafat.

That is exactly what Imran Khan shared from the speech by Dr. Israr Ahmad discussing Quaid e Azam’s wish for Khilafat.

I prefer nationalism with free trade. Globalisation means one centre of power, one language, one culture. And if those 1 centre fails - the whole civilisation collapse. In multipolar world if one of the centre collapse (like USSR) - it does not mean total destruction of the mankind.

Human beings are too tribal for different nations to live in close proximity. Good fences make good neighbors. "Globalism" is just a codeword for domination by Anglosphere and Jews. Nothing wrong with free global trade though.

. . . .
actually they both are the two sides of a coin....every country is independent of others countries and you cannot live/survive in isolation so you need globalism for national interest whether its playing sports, sharing media, exchange of goods, services, ideas, customs, trade, discoveries, innovation, traditions etc. You always compare your country with others to judge your own performance at global level and how you are competing with others. I actually prefer patriotism over blind nationalism .
