It doesn't matter what party is elected. You'll just be replacing 1 banana republic dictator for another. I think most Indians know this too, after being looted by every party that has ever gotten power.

The only way for India to move forward is to abandon links with the past which are chaining it to poverty and adopt communism.

over our dead bodies...i would rather be under a corrupt government where i have freedom of speech than a communist government..

for ur benefit a quote--

I am thankful for all the complaining I hear about our government because it means we have freedom of speech. ~Nancie J. Carmody

It has surely affected india reputation. Heck, it's still affecting it.

And after that what ? Take the "The Great Leap Forward" and start becoming cannibals ? Or eat leather belts ?

China, like other nations, did not achieve prosperity in one day. And whatever they have achieved has never been due to communism alone ; It's a pseudo-communist regime with pro-capitalist development policies in economics ; So China has achieved nothing on account of Communism except, maybe around 20 million odd deaths, and the art of making a Chinese-copy. So please take your Communism didactics, start moving away from the Web(a Western phenomenon BTW) and start carving your messages on Stone.

What a joke! China in 1976 (Right after Mao's death) was more developed and more technologically advanced than India was in 1990. By that time we had already created an indigenous fighter plane that was actually in the sky, nuclear submarines that actually went to sea, genetic engineering technology that boosted crop yields, eliminated discrimination against females, boosted life expectancies to 65 years (something that India has only done in 2010!) and ended starvation, things that India have either done 30 years later or failed to do even by today! By many standards, India even today cannot compare to China before the reforms.

Did the premier pay you to say this?:china: I personally think communism is a good policy, but fortunately it works for China. In India that is a different story. People have the worst mindset and like to pick over fights for any damn reason. Most people dont have any civic sense nor try to act civilized. But what can we do? All we can do is wait for Congress to get out, and wait for BJP to come in. We need a deomcracy that works for the people. Corruption is prevalent in any country. Poverty and lack of proper infrastructure are the 2 major things holding back India, not necesarily the gov't. Our only hope really in my opinion is to have closer ecnomice, strategic, cultural, and military ties with China. We have such a prosperous neighbor, but we choose to ignore them. Really we want to work with China so we can at least have someone to support us. No matter how great India's economy looks on paper, the poverty is still there. This poverty can be rid without proper infrastrcture. I hope China can help India advance its infrastructure. In 20-25 years I can see India a more developed state at par with China (although China will undoubtly be higer in an ecnomical standpoint).

Chinese people also like to pick fights over every tiny thing. There's even a saying in China that refers to this phenomena: 内战内行,外战外行 - Experts at civil war, losers at international wars. And this was very true before 1949. The only way to fix it is for a strong government to eliminate corruption, eliminate drugs, reduce crime, make targetted investments and most of all, realize that growth is painful and some people must be left behind temporarily. This doesn't work well for elections since no one wants to be left behind.
